Easy to walk to and from.
The walls were thin. We could hear the person next to us coughing and sneezing.

The initial part of checking in was a joke. The front desk personnel assigned me to a room that wasn't even cleaned. The room I did stay in had a strong scent of pine sol. There was no fridge or television. Those items should be basics for the rates they were charging. If I wanted no tv or fridge, I would go camping.

Location
Very small rooms. Many things didn’t work

This is a very basic motel, the rooms are tiny, you can hear people speaking in the rooms next to you.
Furniture needs updating

Great value, great location.
The facility is a little bit old

The room was very, very small for four people.

In fact, we had very few choices - everything in Valdez was booked and this was the only affordable and pet-friendly place left. It was dry & cheap.
The best thing about this accommodation is the location. It's close to everything you need - So one point for that,
The free parking spot is right in front of the hotel - the second point for that.
They are pet-friendly (which is rare in this area) - so the third (and last) point for that.
The staff at this hotel was incredibly rude to us, maybe they just had a bad day (or a month) or something. Everything we asked, we got the feeling that we just bothered them so much. (And in case you're wondering - we just asked where we can find the tea. Also, it was raining that day, and the window in our room was open, so the floor was wet and we asked if they have an extra towel so we could wipe it.)
It's pet-friendly (thumbs up) - I got a response in the message that the dog fee is 15/pet/night. A few days later, they charged me 25/pet/night. I was so exhausted from this place, that I just paid and left asap.
The room is very very tiny, very dated and not very clean (I'm being nice right now) - it's still ok, but there were these pipes and air conditioning thingy, which was so loud and we could not switch it off. Be careful the walls are very thin, so you can hear everything from other rooms.
Overall this place is one big depression. It screams from every corner.
Do yourself a favour, stay out of this place and pay more, here it's not worth it.

I booked the room for 3 nights, the first 2 nights the noise was so bad I didn't sleep at all, the neighboring room was so loud, leaving coming back, rap music, playing video games, etc. I called the desk, but didn't get any relief. I won't stay here again.....

Location is close to harbor and museums. Breakfast attendant was friendly. Room was clean. It was the most affordable choice in Valdez. Warm and dry. Our room did not smell.
Facility appears to have been a converted accommodation for pipeline workers. Rooms are strange little cubicles. Ours had a view of a dumpster. Coffee was made from liquid concentrate. I watched attendant refill machine.

Location and ease of access. Breakfast staff
was pleasant and funny. It was extremely busy
and he kept a good attitude even though
working on his birthday.
Front desk staff wasn’t very friendly, but I always
wonder if there’s something going on at home we
are not aware of. The person always helped
when asked, just seemed unhappy.

Breakfast was good. Leave the BBQ sauce off the sausage. Not everyone is a BBQ fan. Biscuits and gravy were good. Nice hot coffee and it did not run out.
I had booked rooms on 1st floor due to ourtraveling partner is handicapped. We were put on 2nd floor at check in. There was no first floor rooms left. WTH.. I booked in January for a reason!! Give key to room 218. unloced the door and a couple was in the room. Give room 238 down a different hall from our traveling partners. They were in room 215 and the bed was unmade. I think housekeeping forgot to clean the room. Bed was uncomfortable. Tub was moldy. Wont be staying here again. Not recommended

The rooms were never cleaned during our stay even with putting a sign up to do so. We had to ask for towels multiple times.

tiny room. noisy. terrible bed.

The location is PERFECT! it’s easy to walk to the harbor, restaurants and shops. The staff is wonderful, all young, friendly and helpful. The property is a piece of the Alaskan Pipeline History: an old “man camp” from the construction days. As such, rooms are small, ceilings are low and halls are narrow.
Our first room had a seriously bad odor. We noted that with the front desk and were immediately relocated to a fresh smelling room across the hall.

Nice workers
$170 for an $80 room
