We're 3 nights in this hotel, the location is superb. It is located within the walking distance of the old hanoi streets, restaurants and shopping stores. The room is clean, breakfast is included with a wide varieties of choices available. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, in a word : Super.

The hotel isn’t a big one but pretty new, with luxury decoration and very oriental warm. It’s very clean and well organised. It’s right pricing and totally worthy. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The location is great, in the center and close to most things that you might need.

The property is well located in Hoan Kiem district, close to many excellent restaurants and shops. Staff is helpful and kind. Breakfast is excellent. Bed is comfortable.

On my day of arrival I was let know that I would not be able to stay at the hotel due to overbooking, and that I would need to spend the night at a nearby hotel. As a gesture of good will I was given a 50% discount on my airport transfer and a small discount for the first night of my stay. While I appreciated the gesture, the hotel I was moved into was not nearly as nice as Hanoi Esplendor, with drunk people shouting during the night to be let in by their room mates. As such, I still felt at a loss through no fault of my own. Currently there are very noisy renovations being done in the building next door and adjacent to the rooms. This means the jackhammer starts at 7am and goes on for approximatively 12 hours. This means that attempting to retreat to the room for an afternoon rest is futile. In addition, the rooms are not soundproof and the housekeeping staff seems “stationed” just outside the rooms on the second floor. They are quite loud and it feels like they are chatting right outside your door. Breakfast is excellent quality, but starts too late (7am). The breakfast room is very small which means everyone rushes in at 7am for fear of not getting a table. Overall I gave a very good rating to the hotel because I genuinely believe that the staff does everything they can to make things ok for guests, and the hotel’s flaws are mostly outside of the personnel’s control. While I appreciate their help and kindness throughout my stay, in many occasions I have wished I had picked a different accommodation.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, helping us arrange taxis, buses and anything else we needed. The beds were very comfy and the blinds did a perfect job of blocking out the morning light. A lovely stay!

The room is very clean in good condition. Staff are friendly and flexible, not only providing great recommendations but very accommodating. They always tried to do an extra steps to make you feel like home.

Convenient location accessible to restaurants, cafes and night market. A bit noisy in the morning if your room is having the city view, can’t avoid it if you choose to live in the old quarter.

Great breakfast, continually replenishing fresh fruits. Good selection in the buffet food and also an additional cook to order from the menu. The breakfast room located in the top floor had great views of the city and was light and airy.

The Family room for four people was only stocked with towels and water for two.

Loved the hospitality Lena and Kris where fabulous hosts and helped us booking tours and allowing us to drop bags off early - this hotel is in a fabulous location in the old quarter and the beds and rooms are very comfortable!

When We Came to Vietnam, everyone advised to take a 5 start hotel and not to go below the 5 stars, we had taken the risk by seeing all the positive comments and reviews on the hotel and it was worth it !, this hotel is defiantly value for money, its very clean, the beds are very comfortable and the staff is extremally helpful, special thanks to Kris and Ngo Jones who always responded to our WhatsApp messages even though it was beyond their duty time! Kris also arranged the taxies from and to the Airport at a reasonable price. All the staff of this Hotel are extremally hard working including the ladies at the SPA which made our stay even more relaxing. The Location of the Hotel is in the middle of the old Quarter so don't expect extreme silence although our family room was not having any view but luckily was very silent ! This room is very recommended, even if you are a couple only, its worth to add a little extra and have the additional space and silence.

Lena and Chris amazing staff. Lena organised train, and Vespa tour for me. Rooms were great, and we were upgraded to honeymoon suite which was nice. Breakfast great too. Definitely recommend to stay here. Location is ideal

Amazing staff - both Lena and Chris were extremely helpful throughout our stay. They helped us book travel from Ha Long Bay to Hanoi, from Hanoi to Sapa, and also arranged a food tour in Hanoi for us. Property is in a good location and clean. Breakfast is also great.

Thanks to Kris, very efficient and helpful guy. Help us out on the day trip booking and transportation without having to ask. Nice hotel and very service oriented. Keep it up.

Were about half way through a 3 week trip in vietnam at this point, and this is the best hotel weve stayed at so far especially for the price. The staff here go above and beyond for you, they are super friendly and always keen to help. The hotel itself is very nice looking and clean. The room was big, the bed was big and very comfortable we had an amazing few nights sleep. The aircon is powerful and has multiple settings. They also have a giant shower head which is always nice. Tv in the room with western movie channels. Everything you could ask for really.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Hanoi’s old town. The staff are really friendly and helpful with good knowledge of activities! The hotel is very clean and quiet with a great breakfast spread. There are lots of attractions nearby including Train street. We would highly recommend a stay at the Esplendor Hotel.
