Great hotel in the old quarter, the staff are exceptional and incredibly friendly. The room was big and comfy water pressure and temperature fantastic.

Breakfast slightly lackluster, better options outside. But this is a small matter.

From arrival to departure and every touch point in between the service, standards, and style of the hotel either met or exceeded my expectations. A special recognition to Ms Thom Nguyen -- her professionalism and passionate sense of hospitality set the standard. Amenities and ambience were top-notch, especially for such a competitive price point. Breakfast was superb as well. I would not hesitate to return next time my travels take me to Hanoi.

Given Hanoi's competitive spa scene I had anticipated a better experience with the spa. It appears the spa is owned/operated independently of the hotel -- this was inferred several times but not confirmed -- but may explain why its service standards fell short of the hotel itself. Service felt rushed, robotic, and absent the professionaism of the hotel. Emphasis seemed more on how the spa is perceived (several attempts to get me to fill out surveys/reviews) than focus given on ensuring experience is entirely satisfying.

The location was excellent, also the staff was excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant, this was also very good!

Several days we could not get hot water. Also, we found the breakfast to be just okay. The coffee was not that good, some mornings the pot was empty. The selection was the same everyday, very lackluster.

The receptionist was exceptional Thom! The spa was also exceptional! Very talented masseuse. Enjoyed her service. The Sky bar was fun to unwind at sunset. Highly recommend this hotel.

Location great in the old qtr (be prepared for some street noise if at the front), lovely decor, staff very welcoming and helpful. We made a last minute booking due to a change in travel plans and checked in early evening. Staff were very accommodating and cleaned an additional room so our family could stay next to each other on the same level. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good selection for b’fast in a very nice setting.

Sadly we didn’t have enough time there to enjoy the sky bar and spa which we received vouchers for. Nothing we didn’t like about the property.

JM marvel was a gorgeous stay on our hanoi visit. The reviews are not kidding, the staff here are so kind and helpful and really wish to do all they can to make your stay the best possible. We found Thom on reception especially helpful. The location is great in old town and breakfast was lush. They even offered for us to pop back in for a shower before our return flight free of charge. Definitely recommend.

1. Location is great. Its located in Old Quarter and yet not at the busiest area. 2. Receptionist Mr Scott and Ms Thom Nguyen are friendly, approachable, helpful and went out of the way to make the stay really comfortable. 3. Very attentive to customers' need. Our limo from Halong stopped the car opposite of the busy street across the hotel, just as I was thinking of how to brave the traffic to cross the street w big baggages and kids, the bell boys already got my luggages even before I got out of the car. Little details like this made a difference. 4. Beds are comfortable 5. There weren't a lot of selection for breakfast but good enough and they taste great.

1. The water temperature during shower tends to get inconsistent and fluctuates. It's more apparent in rooms at higher floors. We stayed in level 6 before my Halong trip and at level 2 and 3 after returning from Hà Long. Problems weren't so obvious in level 2/3, but was obvious in level 6, both the rooms we booked. 2. Sound proofing can be better. Noise from corridor and shower room upstairs were very clear.. But as there aren't many rooms in each floor so it isn't a huge problem to me.

Our stay was splendid! The hotel is located in centre of old qtr and it’s very close to all the attractions; night market, train street and museums to name a few. These were all within 5-10 walking distance. The hotel has the best Vietnamese restaurant, Sky bar and spa centre, all of which were very reasonably priced. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. What makes the hotel stand out are the people! We felt like we were surrounded by people who genuinely cared and wanted to make our holiday special. All staff were amazing, However Scott and Thom both went over and above our expectations. They both did an exceptional job by helping us book tours, assisting to source souvenirs and recommending good nightout and cocktail bars. Thank you team for making our stay so special. All gestures were very much appreciated.

Everything in the hotel including the staff were all good so there is nothing negative to mention.

the room was exactly as described and clean. they gave us vouchers, free beer first night, and a free foot massage if we pay for one massage which we used! great service, no pressure. the welcome tea was truly unique too, love it. the service at the front desk and the porters are impeccable. we arrived, and was across the road, they came out to us when we least expect it.

3% surcharge if paying by card but this seems to be the same everywhere for hotels in Hanoi. And if you pay directly via booking.com, this problem don’t exist. lift is a little slow but there are stairs and is not exactly a problem.

This hotel is located in a convenient location with alot to see and visit places in Hanoi. Staff was super friendly and ensured we felt comfortable and happy during checkin and check out. Bed was very comfortable compared to other places we stayed in Hanoi.

Our room was street facing hence we kept hearing car horns and people talking from the street late into the night which impacted our sleep but we dont think this would be the case for other rooms not street facing.

Noise from other rooms and corridor are annoying. Am Indian family occupying two opposite rooms always open doors and chat loudly.
