Super cute spot, excellent value. The staff was amazing - friendly and helpful. They have a nice little restaurant overlooking the ocean, 2 pools, and beach access. I hope to visit here again!

Fantastiskt vacker boende och bland det bättre vi bott på.
Magiska sängar, vacker inredning, svalt, bästa städ, bra hjälpsam personal.

Appartment was a little dark and kitchen could be updated.

This is my second stay at Las Villas Akumal. I think it's a very nice facility close to the beach. An ideal place to relax or make trips.
My stay was in apartment number 001A. Everyone writes that it is in the basement. In my opinion this is not true. The location is perfect and has a great view of the jungle!
A big plus is the possibility of late check-out.
It's great that we can take a kayak for free.
There is no good ventilation in the apartment. I wrote about it two years ago. Nothing has been changed. Everything is rotting. The clothes and towels stink terribly and there is no washing machine on site!
Unfortunately, the staff cannot cope with insects. I confirm the previous opinions that the kitchen is attacked by ants and, unfortunately, cockroaches every day. This made me very sad.

Great Villa! Pay extra to get ocean view as it’s worth it. Daily cleaning is great and the villa was really comfortable and well equipped. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Turtles lay eggs on the beach at night!
The beach is beautiful but it’s rocky and quite a lot of seaweed. Take beach shoes. It’s a 10-15 min walk along the beach to Akumal but I wouldn’t say it’s the easiest terrain in the dark. As there lots of hotels there aren’t many places to eat in Akumal. Jungle Fish next door is only open until 6pm. It’s a great place to relax but it’s pretty quiet so not good if you are looking for evenings of eating out!

The villas were extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped. They were also really immaculate. The pool area was lovely and pristine. Also really quiet.
Also we weee fortunate enough to watch turtles nesting every night on the beach at the apartments, was amazing to see.
Due to the location, it was about a 20 minute walk along the beach to the main area for restaurants and bars. Although it felt quite safe, it was really dark at certain areas when walking back at night.
The restaurant at the villas was basic and closes at 3pm. Jungle Fish nearby was brilliant but again closed early, 7.30 so too early for dinner for us. Would have been good to know this in advance as we would have bought more food for the villa.

We had a very spacious, comfortable and tasteful apartment with a large patio and a fantastic view. If you want to escape the crowds, this place is perfect. Lots of things to do and places to visit a short drive away. Could be tricky without a car.
Not cheap but worth it.

Beautiful apartment with view of the sea, well maintained, friendly staff, all in all highly recommended
Nothing - important to know: 1) beach is rocky, so bring water shoes, Sandy beach about 20 minutes to left; 2) not many restaurant options, but Jungle Fish is great and they organise groceries for delivery

The apartment was large and very comfortable. The restaurant had delicious nachos and Jungle Fish restaurant was also great. The pool was awesome for young children especially.
It would be great to have less rocks getting into the ocean. The Sargasso was bad but they did clean it. It wasn’t really a bad smell like I was reading about.

We loved that the hotel was quiet, family friendly, clean, had a private beach and had breakfast and lunch options in the restaurant (although the food options were limited). The cleaning person was diligent and came every day for general cleaning and restocking of toiletries and/or towels. There is a lovely pool and kiddie pool, although we didn't use it. It looked like all units had an oceanfront view, but I can't say that for certain. Did I mention the private beach??? It is also wonderfully far away from the late night thump-thump-thump and drunken yelling at party resorts.
We like cooking our own food on vacation, however the kitchen utensil situation was greatly lacking. There were decent pots and pans, but there wasn't a spatula, baking pan or pot holder to be found. The freezer didn't keep things like ice cream or ice cubes very well-frozen. The air conditioning worked but was a little tricky to regulate and it blew in food smells from other units. Unfortunately, the massage spa had a sign that it was permanently closed.

The rooms were very nice and it was quiet. The pool area is also very good.
It’s not worth what you pay for it. I paid about US$150 but it should’ve been about $100 for what you’re getting.

We were very far away from a supermarket

The studio apt. was fully equipped, space spotless, and the bed very comfortable. A restaurant is available for breakfast and lunch, serving tasty food options.

Room was exceptionally clean. Cannot say enough about the two staff members who personally helped us with transportation when we were stuck due to a taxi protest against Uber (highway blockade).
The air conditioning wasn't working. Room became quite uncomfortable in the afternoon.
Restaurant hours weren't as advertised. Only open until 3:00. Needed a taxi into Akumal and back for dinner. $300-$350 pesos one way.

The room was cleaned every day, the staff was very helpful. The hotel has a direct access to the private beach and its own swimming pool.
The materace was too soft.

This place is amazing! The staff is incredibly nice, the rooms are spacious and nice. Bed is really great. And everything on the property is maintained really well. Location is very relaxing, away from all the tourists in Akumal, but a 10 min beach walk away for when you do want to go into the town.
It does not have a restaurant for dinner, but next to the hotel is a restaurant called jungle fish that is amazing

Our stay was better than we expected. The villa was was spotless inside and out and was cleaned every day; we were steps from a quiet beach and we had an amazing view; villa was roomy and we loved the decor; staff was on site so very easy to ask questions and get assistance. Additionally, Lizbeth helped us set up rides and an outing and directed us to a wonderful restaurant next door. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
the villa's cafe service was friendly and prompt and the view was amazing but food was not great. They did make a great margarita. Hot water in the villa shower ran out very quickly.

Totally cool location. Directly at the beach and with the pool right outside the door. Apartment was big and spacy and outside area was really nice. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. Beach is good for snorkling if the wind is low and you can walk the beach to see snorkel with the turtles at the Akumal beach.
Restaurant is opening until 3 pm only so we either had to drive to a restaurant or walk the beach to Akumal. Beach is rocky so you need to bring bathing shoes.

The room was big and clean.
We had direct access to one beach.
Nice swimming pool.
The place is far from Akumal: do not recommand to stay here if you do not have a car unless you are willing to pay 300MXN for a 5min ride in taxi or risk your life walking along the highway.
Our room was in the basement and we can hear our neighbours like they were in our room.

This place is the go-to place for a dream vacation at the beach that allows you to enjoy nature at its best without ‘annoying’ tourists. The location of the villas is incredible and the view makes you speechless everyday if you stay in an ocean-view apartment. The condominium is very well maintained and room service or the little restaurant at the top are absolutely fine and a good addition to your own shoppings.
The beach may have sea weed, but you can walk along to Akumal Bay where there are nice spots to swim.
Rent a car, bring water shoes and you will not want to leave this place ever again.
We will come back to this piece of paradise.
We arrived with heavy tropical rain and our apartment had leaking water from the ceilings. The staff organized promptly a new villa, but we insisted to stay on the top level for the amazing ocean view hoping of dryer days. We were lucky and stayed another week without problems.
A dish washer would be the little extra to make it even more perfect.
