Rooms were nice but poor lighting

When I got in room I noticed my bedding had stains on it I reported it and they gave me a mattress pad sheet instead a quilt I called back they gave me a thin blanket I was frustrated and turned heat up because I was tired I knew they would take their time bringing the right item

Room was clean . Unfortunately a large group of kid’s hockey teams were in the hotel as well . Trust me I know they are kids and they are loud and run around. Boys will be boys. I just wish that they had had them on their own floors. Was woken up by them . If I had known that was the only choice to stay there with them on the floor, I probably would’ve picked another hotel.

The junior suite was very comfortable, with a living room area including a sofa and large screen TV, an in-between area with a coffee maker and small refrigerator across from a nice bathroom, and a bedroom with a king size bed, desk, and TV. However the sliding doors on the bathroom did not operate smoothly. The hotel restaurant staff was very friendly, the service was good, and the food was excellent, although the menu was limited.

Shower door leaked. Air vent in bathroom very dusty. Flashing lights on wall when lights out, very distracting.

I loved this hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I used to stay at another hotel in the area, but this will be my new home when traveling for business.

I just wished there was a microwave. We hardly eat out, so we go to the grocery stores to buy food, and some of the food we bought needed to be microwaved, and we had none. I've stayed at motels which had microwaves, I think it was a disgrace that a 5 start hotel did not have one.

This is my second time staying at the Alloy. I enjoy the location and the staff is nice. My room this time was very quiet.

It was great except we went to our car in the morning, and then grabbed a coffee in the lobby, and when we went to go back up to our room at around 10am the cleaning man had went in our room and started taking it apart. Would not let us back in. I was not ready for the day. He said we checked out…. We definitely had not. Clearly I had my key card to get the elevator to work.. we had our card in our hand Luckily we had traveled with another couple, and were able to go to their room to get washed up and ready before checking out at noon.

My son arrived at this hotel for his JLPT N1 exam. This is the highest level exam one can take in Japanese for which he has been studying for years. The manager without looking at him or listening just flat refused to let him stay at the hotel because he is 19; they said he had to be 21 and over to stay there. They said it's a Hilton policy. When I checked online there was no such Hilton policy. I was also told by Hilton that hotel managers would be able to wave this policy at their discretion. I do understand not wanting wild teenagers throwing parties, but my son was there for an exam the next morning at Villanova University. He even showed them the exam registration and date. They wouldn't look at it nor would they talk to me. They were incredibly unthoughtful and inconsiderate and did not bother to try to suggest alternate accommodations. Luckily the Hampton Inn down the street took him. They also have a 21 and over policy but unlike the staff at the Doubletree, the staff at the Hampton Inn were very thoughtful and human. They listened to the situation and immediately offered to wave their policy in order to accommodate my son.

I like my overall experience as a whole

It was close to everything. Only thing “bad” was trying to find a parking spot because there were many people staying at the hotel.

Very clean, every staff encounter was pleasant. Bed and linens were super-comfy. Only downside was no microwaves in the rooms, community microwave located on certain floors.

Convient to KOP Mall

This ended up being one of the worst stays ever. The suites we stayed in (there were 2 because we had to switch rooms after the 1st night) both had an overwhelming presence of thick dust that covered everything. The sheets, the walls, the table tops, TVs, and bathrooms were all coated with thick layers of dust that accumulated all over again within hours of wiping it away. This was definitely an indication of a larger problem with the property, not just the overall cleanliness of the rooms. That was why we switched rooms after the first night, but we found out quickly that the same issue existed in the next room. Also, the sofa in the new suite was covered in dog hair and the coffee table was missing (likely due to a large dog needing to occupy that area). We spoke to the front desk and showed them pictures of the thick dust/dog hair. They did clean up the dog hair but it was clear that the dust issue would persist and it made us sick. They offered to comp our next 3 breakfasts (which we discovered at check out was not even applied), but the missing coffee table was never replaced. There were 3 days in a row where the room was not cleaned after asking the front desk to have it cleaned. House keeping even marked the room cleaned, but never came or bought new towels, wash cloths or anything for us to use and all we got was, “sorry it’s too late now we will have someone come tomorrow.” And still no one cleaned the room. We would like this entire stay refunded, not just 2 days.
