Great location, lovely cosy feel in the pub - lots of character, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was great bigger than expected - with a sofa - good water pressure in the shower - and helpful space for boot drying. Food was excellent. Also dogs welcome. Very tempted to return.

Really enjoyed our stay so not much we didn't like; - just a heads up if you're a TV fan - there isn't one in the room (not an issue for us as we don't usually watch it when we're away.) - Also, the wi-fi completely failed on the second night - which wasn't wasn't a huge problem - but it is nice to be able to check the weather forecast for hiking. - our room was very nice, but I think we were above the kitchen, where there was a radio playing quite a while. We had an early dinner and went upstairs to read etc. and it was a little loud - didn't bother us - but might be a nuisance if you like it very quiet.

Great staff, great food. Very professional re check-in and out. Comfy room. Overall service was excellent.

Been to the Boot Inn a few times now always a great place to be. Stayed one night ,excellent all round,one of our favourite places in the lakes.Some great walks in the area too.Very friendly staff.

Absolutely fantastic place. Beautiful setting, comfy rooms, cosy bar, fantastic staff and amazing food.

Possibly keep the bar open after 10pm as working late it would have been nice to have the extra hour

Not only the scenery is amazing, but the staff highly contributed to a great stay. There were extremely friendly and helpful, approachable, always with an smile in their faces. Thanks Ian, Katie, Emma and team.

We have stayed at The Boot Inn a few times, and always love returning. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the rooms are comfortable, the beers are well kept, the food is delicious and the breakfast is really tasty. And it is located in a beautiful part of Cumbria. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was also good with an extensive menu. Staff were efficient and helpful. Rooms are tastefully decorated in keeping with the rural area, comfortable and clean. Fantastic scenery.

The Boot Inn is one of my absolute favourite places in the Lakes - brilliant location which is quiet and peaceful, the venue itself is warm and inviting with great food, beers and always great company from the staff.

Creaky heavy doors made it difficult not to disturb others, but that's really a very minor point. Our room was above the bar area so with a 7 year old, the sound traveled.

Breakfast was delicious and the staff could advise me where to buy the sausage from The evening meal was nice and hot even stayed hot whilst we sat outside to eat The staff were very friendly and helpful
