Un hôtel où on parle français !

A chaque fois que je suis sûr Hanoi, je viens ici. Quel plaisir de retrouver l'équipe, de pouvoir parler français avec le manager qui m'a été d'une grande aide pour organiser mes périples autour de Hanoi. C'est un vrai luxe que de pouvoir se faire comprendre. La rue est toujours calme et on dort toujours aussi bien. Merci.

Great location, perfect and flexible service. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We arrived early at 11:59AM (instead of 2PM), but they happily re-arrange a room for us without extra charge. They responded to all of our requirements quickly and professionally. Third party services (like taxis) are also great.

Horrible

The too was comfortable to sleep in. However, they do not give you water or breakfast. Other hotels with better facilities and less price gives the breakfast as well. The room was noisy, the jet spray was harsh and there were no hooks to hang clothes. The toiletry were two small cheap quality tube of shampoo and shower gel.

Beware of the property manager, she is sly and a scamster person.she sold us a luxury cruise at expensive rate. The limousine guy made us sit infront at the conductor seat (all other limos were empty), it was uncomfortable, we paid for the whole day, our return was also equally bad. We were not given the wake up call, the coffee, nothing that was promised Same goes for SIM card and currency exchange. It’s a money mending business. Very distasteful. Highly Disappointed. I booked for the week, checked out in a night.

Central but loud location

Nice location near cathedral, plenty of coffee places to choose from in the neighborhood. Beautiful view from the balcony. Friendly staff.

The location has its downside as you hear the cathedral bells loud and clear throughout the night. It was impossible to sleep. There's no sound insulation, so you hear everything that happens around you. Also the toilet/bathroom is a nightmare, as the shower drain is under toilet sink so the water is allover the floor.

To be honest being shifted was pretty awful

Location was good until they moved me out of the old quarter to an awful hotel . Worst place I’ve stayed at after one month in Vietnam

Booked for 2 nights got asked to move after 1 , as he had messed up some bookings and was told the place they were moving me and 2 other guests to was 4 star and had a balcony ..it would’ve been lucky to be one star…nice staff at both places but not flash is being kind . Don’t agree to move if they ask .

Location was great

The bed doesn't come with blankets, just piece of quilt covers. Guess the housekeeping missed it.

it was great to stay there, a bit too expensive for what we were used to in Vietnam.

it was very good located, near great restaurants and bars, but yet you couldn’t hear a thing. And the beds were great!!

it wasn’t very clean, the bathroom wasn’t in great condition but it wasn’t bad either.

Location was excellent - walking distance to so many things. Staff were very friendly and helpful - made great recommendations and booked tours for us.

They stole my money.

DO NOT STAY HERE. When I checked into the Pilgrim hotel, they asked for full payment upfront, so I paid, except on the day I checked out, they asked for the money again. Using my phone, I logged into my bank account and showed them proof of payment. They still insisted that I had not paid, told me the first charge was merely a security deposit, and will be returned to me. In the mean time, I had a flight to catch, and the driver was waiting and only allowed me a 20 minute grace period. I had no choice but to pay. I lodged a complaint with Booking, showed them my credit card statement, and they said they'll contact Pilgrim to issue me a refund. My statement showed a charge of 4,720,000 on 15 Oct and 4,725,000 VND again on 22 Oct. It's been a month and a half since my stay, and I've not received my refund. I'm a single dad who doesn't have a lot of money to spare. To the owners of Pilgrim, I kindly ask you, please do the honorable thing, and give my money back.

Large comfortable room right next to everything

Nice big rooms with a large window and balcony. Rare to find big hotel rooms in hanoi on a budget. Great location. Right next to the church and in the centre of old hanoi. 2 minutes walk to everything! Super helpful and friendly staff

Bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood are open till late and can get a bit noisy. The bathroom was small and dated. No separate shower so everything gets wet.
