It was nice to have a night where we could cook dinner together and have a bit of a "home away from home" experience. The outdoor bath was beautiful and we particularly enjoyed the fact that you could open a window to feel the winter wind directly.

we booked with winkel village and there was a snow storm warning while we were at sapporo followed by cancelled trains and our train to otaru was delayed since morning and kept cancelling, we were in constant communication with the train conductors and even they advised that the trains wont be able to run and infact wpuld be unwise to head out in the snow storm incase we get trapped. with this we started to contact them early in hope to have some understanding and flexibility due to the extreme weather, espeacilaly since we then have to take a bus to this lodge , and they do not provide any amenities (towel etc) and is not near any convenient stores it seems only wise that its not where we can be snowed in. their response were “ we wont be able the trains are delayed not cancelled so get here before the weather gets too bad to travel, if you dont know how to work the trains ask the conductors” while we understand businesses need to still run but we felt this was a reasonable circumstance to work with rather than just asking us to “travel over there before the weather gets too bad” and offered no other alternatives especially where we have no control over the transportations or the weather. we spent two extremely stressful days trying to work with the hotel staff the cancel the booking but they were so unaccomadating and frankly unkind.

the cottage was cosy, and it’s close to ski resort

the living room is very small, bot enough lighting, a bit dark the hot water supply in the bathroom is not stable, constantly hot and cold

The staff was super nice and helpful especially Mr Amano! he help and assist us to change our accommodation..we booked a cottage for 6 pax at first but when we went in there we felt a bit worried for our kids since its really close to the main road and not kids friendly balcony..the 6pax cottage actually nice and it's our fault for not checking it thoroughly before booking it and thanks god there still another place available (apartment with open-air bath 5 adults) and they prepared it for us as soon as possible. Thanks, Mr Amano we really appreciated it. There's 24hr supermarket nearby so it is really convenience for us to cook our own meals. The view is superb..winter wonderland.

Insulation.

No towels and toiletries. Too close to the main road. No convenience store near by. Only restaurants available were inside hotels nearby. Too many exposed electrical cables in the vicinity.

Beautiful and quiet .Just few mins away from ski resort. They do pick up service from nearby train station.

It not really bother me just wanna say their credit card machine bit old and spent about 30 mins to charge from my card
