We had a lovely week staying in the property the garden was a particular highlight. The annex bedroom was quite tight for space as the pictures showed. The location was beautiful and had good access to public transport. We made good use of the house, garden and gym area.

Our family of 5 adults stayed here. It has the most incredible outdoor spaces! One area has a table and chairs outside the main living space. And, on another level, there is a hot tub, lounge chairs, and a grill and eating space. There are 4 separate sleeping quarters. Though small, it was nice to have separate rooms. One of the beds is in a cute, separate building, but it has its I own bathroom. The hiking in Marjan park was great and the trails were close to the house. Two beaches were within walking distance. Part of our group did deep water solo climbing very near the house. We loved our stay in this beautiful place and hope to come back one day!

Amazing!
We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful villa. The views are absolutely incredible and the Marjan park is an incredible and exclusive place. We really enjoyed how peaceful and private it was but at the same time so close to everything we wanted to see in Split. Borna was a great host and made everything so easy. This is the perfect place to stay to enjoy Split and still have some peace and privacy during your stay. So much better than trying to stay in the old city!

The pictures don't do the view justice. There are actually 2 levels full of beautiful gardens and spaces for people to have some space on their own. The cottage was very well provisioned. We really loved the quiet setting of the park vs. staying in town. It was a quick Uber ride in. Borno was very prompt in communications and helped to settle any issues even those beyond his control. Certainly a special location!

beautiful, quiet spot in stunning nature reserve
Our family had an amazing stay at this lovely property in the national park. The cottage was perfectly sized for our family of 4, and the sea views were to die for (esecially in the evening watching the sun go down). The hot tub and location were part of the draw, but the garden was truly delightful and lovely to spend time in.
Borna was the perfect host and was very helpful explaining the local area and suggesting restaurants.
Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

This is the perfect place for a restful stay in Split! Borne is a great host. He wants to be sure you are happy and comfortable. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
It is in a spectacular location if you want peace and quiet. At the end of the peninsula, which only allows local traffic, it is busy with runners and walkers by day(very few cars/buses) but at night, everyone has left, leaving you with the tranquility of the sea. We love to walk, and after arriving, we did not use our car. Every day, we walked through the park into town to explore the restaurants and museums. We were too lazy but could easily have taken a ferry to Hvar for a day or done day trips to Krka or Plitvice Lakes.
It is hard to describe the serene nights having a quiet dinner watching the sunlight change minute by minute, more beautiful every time! And the hot tub, overlooking the sea was wonderful!
We only spent 4 nights at Borne's place but next time we come to Croatia, we will spend our whole time here! Sipping cocktails in the hammock watching the sun set is something that you cannot miss! We hope to be back soon.

Lovely accomodation
We had the nicest time at Villa Karina. The property is extraordinary; You can see the ocean through olive trees from both the terraces. You have everything you need, from towels to jacuzzi. We had a lovely time.

Beautiful view of the sea. Borna was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the villa.
This villa has a great view and two different areas to sit outside. It was comfortable and a great place to stay to see the city. We decided to use a Uber for transportation into the city to avoid having to park in Split. We enjoyed our stay at the villa and Split is a must see. We hope to return.

Perfect, just perfect!
Borna's house was one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in. Its location and its layout was just perfect for our family of four. It was comfortable both day and night and the views across the bay were just spectacular and we whiled away many hours just looking out to sea. Despite turning up a tad to early, Borna was a welcoming, great guy and we also got to meet his sister and father. He explained everything we needed to know and much more. Our whole break in Croatia was excellent; none of us wanted to go home back to dreary Britain!

An absolute oasis near Split
In some ways, I'm hesitant to review (share) this property because it is so wonderful, special, and unique. Plus the host, Borna, is exceptional. My family of 5 (3 kids, 2 adults) cherished our 4 days here. Removed from the city, incredible views, rich history. Note that the home has been in the family for 100+ years so there are a few small quirks with it. But none of those took away the sheer beauty and peacefulness of this spot. Highly recommend it and would absolutely stay here again.

Slice of Paradise!
We loved staying at this little house on the hill! There was plenty of room for our family of four, it was quiet and the view was breathtaking! The hosts were helpful and accommodating and so friendly. We parked our car on the street and used Uber when we didn’t want to drive. We are so glad we booked this and really didn’t want to leave....

Fabulous Views!
The property is totally private with gorgeous views! Then main house is small, but works well for two adults then two other bedrooms for singles or kids. Is also updated nicely with a kitchen and lots of glasses, plates, etc . . . The other house is a teeny, tiny single bedroom with bath that you enter from outside. It takes maybe 10 minutes to old town by taxi or Uber. The main swimming beach is a bit of a walk or a quick drive. If you want to sit outside and enjoy the views and pretty gardens, this is the spot to do it.

Property in idyllic setting just outside city center
Our family of five - two couples and one single - enjoyed this villa overlooking the Adriatic. It is outside of city center however there is easy Uber availability if you have no car. The solitude and views are spectacular! Marjan Hill location is unique and beach is walking distance. My only suggestion is to perhaps have a property info sheet available to reference and a city map available for those unfamiliar with Split. We fully enjoyed this property and highly recommend it. The peacefulness of nature and scenery is fantastic! The owner also helped us do a bit of research on our family heritage / name as well which was very much appreciated. Hvala!

Wonderful Stay
Spend 4 days at this villa, it was very clean and furnished to a high standard. Set in a very quiet location, beautiful views with easy access to Split. Nearby there is a beach bar which is not overcrowded where you can just chill. Thank you for such a great experience

Not what we expected
To start with the good stuff. this home is in a very beautiful setting! Not only do you have all these amazing hiking trails and the forests behind you, but you also have incredible views of the ocean! We absolutely loved the setting. The house was definitely not meant for 6 adults, this place is tiny tiny. Even if everyone had a place to sleep, there’s not enough living space. this would be more ideal for 4 adults and 2 kids.
Cons: I had emailed the owner asking for access instructions about a week prior as we spent the first half of our trip in a different villa- he said he would meet us there and provide further clarification later. The day before our arrival I told him we thought we would arrive around 4pm and he never responded- luckily there were directions in the listing. However; they were incorrect. We were in town that morning and noticed the tunnel was barricades meaning we couldn’t get to the house! So I emailed the owner probably 4-5 times the day of, starting that morning asking how to get to the house since the road was closed and to let him know we would be arriving around 3pm. He never responded all day.
We drove around trying to figure out how to get to the house but couldn’t find a way. Finally we found what is supposed to be a walking and biking path-which they opened up for cars while the tunnel road was closed. But because this walking/biking path was open to cars, we did not get to enjoy that peace and serenity we were hoping for. We chose this house specifically for the peaceful nature. Instead, we were left with the non-stop sounds of cars driving around! The owner knew the tunnel was closed-why wouldn’t he have emailed me to tell me that and give me the right directions?
My family and I were also looking forward to some beautiful outdoor meals. But the owner didn’t know how to use the stove and couldn’t provide instructions. So we wasted a lot of groceries we bought! There are hundreds of mosquitos in the house, we were all covered in bites when we woke up in the morning. Mine are still all over my face! There was also no canopy on the pergola over the outside table so when it rained two of the days we were there we couldn’t enjoy the outside.my bf and I stayed in the extra little side apt. It is just a bed. There wasn’t even enough room for us to fit our suitcase inside! You have to walk outside to use the bathroom which is less than ideal at night, especially when it’s raining. The experience was not as described.

Amazing setting in nature yet close to Split
The two terraces with citrus blossoms, lavender, and rosemary were exquisite, with a spectacular view of the Adriatic sea. My family and I had a lovely week, both relaxing and highly enjoyable--near Split, walking the Marjan Hill, visiting the Mestrovic gallery, the stone beach. The main home and little cottage were clean, nicely appointed and we had a couple of fish bbques on the terrace. Thanks Borna and family for a highly enjoyable stay! We very much hope to return (and touching Gregory's toe, that was our fondest wish).

What a beautiful place. The view are spectacular
This property was the perfect place to stay in split. The host was easy to talk to and helped with any questions. We spent one day just at the property. Laying in the hammock and enjoying the scenery. So nice didn't want to leave the house. If we ever make it back to Split, there's no other place we would stay. Thanks again to the host!!

Heaven on Earth overlooking the Adriatic
From the time we ventured up the steps to the gated villa, we knew we had chosen a perfect oasis for our stay in Split! The 150 year old olive and citrus fruit property boasted an adorable villa, complete with two outdoor seating areas, spectacular views and peace and quiet. It is removed from the bustling old town, downtown Split area by about 15 minutes. We would purchase pastries, fruit, wines and cheeses to enjoy at the gathering table. The house is fully equipped to dine in, however we chose to meander down darkened alley ways every evening, exploring the tastes and sounds of this beautiful area! Hope to return someday!

An amazing property in peaceful setting
The property is set in a fabulous location, secluded yet only minutes from Split. The landscaping is wonderful and inviting. We spent many hours relaxing outside recharging during a long vacation. There are many places to walk in the woods and secluded beaches are close by. The house is well equipped and comfortable, with a modern bathroom and kitchen. If you are searching for a one of a kind property to escape the noise of the city, then book this place! The owner was very helpful in all communications as well.
