Clean, pleasant room, polite staff, lovely setting, good breakfast.
Music room is nicest room. Chesterfield sofas and open fire. Maple room - small double bed- very comfy and nice bedding , good size bathroom jacuzzi bath with over bath shower
Good buffet breakfast
Dinner was very average food pricey for quality and quality. Dining room a bit bare & no atmosphere
Bar closed 10.45pm
No other guests to be seen past 9pm
There were 4 of us so not too bad, but if 2 think it would have been far too quiet and would have likely gone up to room. Stayed a few years ago - not as good as it was. No view from room - car park
Dim lighting.
Sorry

The room was great and the bed was really comfortable.A couple of nice little touches too for our anniversary and my wife’s birthday were added in our room.
The breakfast wasn’t as good as I expected from the reviews but all the staff were lovely. I wish I had ordered breakfast fresh from the menu.

The location and the idea of the lodge is nice in theory…
In reality the the very small lodge was far too cramped for a family of four
