Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne

The hotel is well located by the station, the old town and the lake. It's also near the bathing area on the lakeside. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was generously proportioned, offered great views of the lake and had excellent facilities. Breakfast offered a generous selection. The sauna and steam room, along with an adjacent relaxation lounge, were superb. I was particularly impressed with the attentive staff on reception.

I'd recommend going to breakfast either very early or very late as it gets very busy and is not a relaxing experience. The sauna and steam room were supposed to be on for 5pm. This was not the case on one occasion, and I had to ask for them to be made ready, resulting in a wait of half an hour. I don't expect slip ups like this in a hotel for the price I was paying. The bar is very limited in what it offered, and for a hotel of this standard the wine list was sparse. Overall, though this is a good place to stay, I felt it was overpriced for what was on offer, and lacked the intimacy and relaxing atmosphere I was seeking. It was all a bit corporate for me.

I didn’t like walking home at night as there was always groups of men hanging around the park that we had to pass by, very intimidating! But great location for train station and a short stroll to centre, I found hotel very expensive for 2 nights accomadation with no breakfast

Every thing in this hotel I liked it , the staff and the location and really recommend this hotel to any one going to visit the pretty Lucerne

Honestly every thing in the hotel was good , but I think for breakfast they should add more options for Arab guests , but over all the hotel is so good and all the staff there are too great

No housekeeping after 8pm
