The building is impressive. Very well maintained. Beautiful gardens and surroundings. The pool is nice in a very relaxed atmosphere (water a bit cold).

Breakfast, very good but cooked elements could have been hotter. Because we have been staying with you for many years regular staff always give us a lovely welcome. Bar service was much improved on this visit.

The large sitting areas, the spa area and the history of the building. The toasty sandwich and chips were great value as a snack. The soundproof bedrooms. Loved the robes and towels and the espresso coffee machine in rooms.
I would have liked a mat on my bedroom floor which was cold. I found the bedroom very dowdy and old fashioned. Too much dark wood, floor walls and wardrobes. Did not find the wardrobe door handles easy to use.
