Friendly, helpful staff & "locals" in the pub. Cosy room, good shower. Chef was able to deal with dietary requirements with no fuss at all.

A good location for a visit to Montacute House. Good parking.
A good evening meal.
The room was shabby and in need of rejuvenation. The room was damp and cold.. The stair carpet was dirty.

Great pub & location - beautiful village
TV didn’t work in our room - we arrived late so just wanted to relax in the room & watch tv. They did try to sort but couldn’t - did offer the next door room’s tv but it wasn’t a family room so no help.
