Situato nello splendido parco della tenuta Pollock, a pochi minuti a piedi dall'Arthurs Seat, dall'Holyrood Park e dal Meadows, lo Scholar è stato recentemente ristrutturato e sorge a pochi passi da tutte le famose attrazioni della città.

A fairly new hotel, set up inside Edinburgh Uni's accommodation (!). The staff were generally kind and courteous; there's a bar and a decent breakfast (though we had several errors with some of our orders). The location is wonderful for those planning to hike Arthur's Seat, but a bus away from the Royal Mile and the Castle. Clean, good WiFi
If you are not seeking to hike, this is a bit far away. Beyond that, the room is really quite small, especially for anything bigger than a couple. Furthermore, when we asked to switch rooms to support our 2 YO baby's sleep, there was no alternative. The bed was supposed to be a Double bed, but was in fact a twin bed, which also was a bit of a drag.

Breakfast is excellent. Either a full Scottish which means you probably won't want lunch! A delicious continental alternative. Good coffee.
Evening meal is a bit limited if you are after quality cuisine so we tended to eat elsewhere. Other guests seemed to be happy with the choices.
This hotel suits us well. Parking can be an issue.
