Excellent location across from the Balmoral. Very comfortable mattress.
Front entrance under scaffolding. Lift to first floor reception. Apparently still undergoing renovations.

Location, friendliness of the staff, irn bru and cookies left as a welcome gift. Modern room, gorgeous bathroom
I was only there for one night so it was fine for me but there isn’t a lot of clothes storage there’s just a rail attached to the wall with 3 hangers. So fine if you’re good with living out of a suitcase but if you were staying more than one night or there was two people and you had stuff that needed hanging there is not a lot of room

Location and price compared to other properties
We were not allowed breakfast before 7, in spite of it all being ready. I was there for an early 1/2 marathon as were many other runners - it would have been nice if they could have allowed us breakfast!

Room overlooked an alley with garbage dumpsters, and was noisy.

Ac did not work in room. Comforter was very thick, too hot and uncomfortable sleeping.

I have had many stays in varies Motel One all around the country with no issues at all. always comfortable stays with no issues
i was asked at check in if i would like to add breakfast to my stay for both days to which i agreed after being told it was served from 6 am, on the final morning prior to check out i arrived for breakfast at 6.30 as i had to leave at 7am as i had a 6 hour drive back to Leicestershire, on entering the breakfast room i was told sorry your to early, breakfast doesn't start till 7am on Saturdays, this meant not only did i end up having paid for a breakfast i couldn't have but i also had to set off without any breakfast or even a drink in the morning, if i had been told that breakfast wasn't available till later at weekends i obviously wouldn't have paid for it

The location was absolutely great and reception areas nicely presented

Room was an overpriced prison cell, I’d heard good reviews of motel one Glasgow so expected Edinburgh to be just as good, woke up to the sound of drilling in the morning, window view was a view of other room windows very disappointing

A localização é excelente, isso já é uma marca nos hotéis dessa rede. Fica em frente à estação de trem! Café da manhã muito bom! Limpeza e cama confortável. A decoração!
Não tem armário no quarto! Algumas mesas no café da manhã são baixas e por isso fica desconfortável.

Excellent location for the train station and handy for the Edinburgh festival/fringe venues. The room was simple, but had adequate desktop space for my laptop and enough charging points for my devices, which is important for me when I am travelling. There is a large, comfortable lounge area with lots of windows and a view of part of the city.
It is a big hotel and I expect it is luck and pick of the draw regarding the view you have. I was in the inner part of the hotel with a bland view of the inner courtyard.

A perfect location as it's just across the road from Waverley Station. Beautiful views of the castle. Modern reception and room.

Excellent hotel, central for everything we wanted to do.Room was clean, comfy and quiet...as requested, we didnt have breakfast so cant comment on this. Staff very friendly and helpful would def stay here agai

Staff were friendly and helpful, and room was nice and clean. It’s also really close to the train station, which was super convenient. Overall it was well situated and good value compared with other nearby places.
The air con/heating in our room (400) did not seem to work, which meant we overheated both nights. And the iron we borrowed leaked water everywhere.

Fabulous location. I was very impressed with how quiet it was for such a central location! The housekeeping team were fantastic, nothing too much trouble & room always perfect.

Very basic room, minimal furniture and very dated decoration. No bin. Does not serve food. Old unsafe looking electrical sockets.
