Beautiful building and the perfect location for a visit to Beamish museum. Large and luxurious room with comfortable beds.
The extensive grounds are well worth a walk around. Breakfast was served in the Stables and there was a plentiful choice of either continental or cooked items.

The location and the hotel are brilliant. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. The grounds are just wonderful and relaxing.
Our only niggle is the beds are on the hard side!

The food was amazing and the restaurant atmosphere was lovely – very smart but also friendly. The grounds were outstanding and we really enjoyed walking around the beautiful gardens. Restaurant staff were very friendly.
The rooms were rather hot! Small fans were provided but the rooms were a little stuffy.

Beautiful building, gorgeous grounds, nice restaurant.
Room was very bland, it felt like it was still in the process of being finished off, no pictures or a full length mirror, which would have been nice, and there was a strange random noise which sounded like something wrong with the plumbing going off all night.
