Spacious 2 bedroom apartment that is a good base to explore. Docklands area is an ideal base with a good range of restaurants and coffee houses within and easy walk. City is reached with in a 15 minute walk.

This property was on the Grand Canal and in a good location for being quiet, near pubs and restaurants, and off the beaten path. Unfortunately, though there is a great view, the apartment is run down and needs attention. A few items include broken drape hangers, warped and moldy cabinets in kitchen, patched drywall, mattresses that didn’t fit the the frame making them uncomfortable, and rotting wood on a balcony. Other items that made our stay irritating were no instructions for the TV and ‘fine print’ about being charged more for water and electricity if you go over the amount they have allotted for you. This was our first time to Ireland and we were disappointed in our accommodations, especially because it was one of the more expensive properties to rent. Price does not indicate improved/better lodgings here.

Good location for seeing Dublin. Very responsive team with a number to call if problems or need help. It was sort of a hassle to have to check in at one spot and then drive to apartment but once we got to the apartment we didn't have to drive as everything was a taxi ride or short walk. Apartment was clean. Gorgeous views at night overlooking the river and Dublin. Would recommend to others as a place to stay in Dublin.

The company that handled our rental has a bunch of different apartments. When we originally inquired we were told the specific one we asked about was not available, but were sent a listing for one that was available. We clarified that it would be the building and location we would be staying in. We also confirmed that one of the bedrooms would have two twin beds or there would be a pull out couch to accommodate our two older teens. When we arrived in Dublin, we were taken directly to the flat by the courtesy airport shuttle. The free pick up is a great service City Break provides. The unit was not like the one we were told we were renting and was not even close to the location we were expecting (we had read reviews where this had happened to others so we weren't completely surprised). The apartment was fine and in a nice neighborhood, but it was much smaller and not kitted out to the level of the photos we had been shown. Most disappointing - the second bedroom had only one bed and there was no pull out couch. My 16 year old, who is very tall, ended up sleeping on couch cushions on the floor of the lounge. There was no information or details in the apartment, but the company was responsive to emails about procedures for rubbish, check out, etc. Overall, the stay was fine, the apartment was clean, but if you rent with City Break be aware that they may switch you to a different unit in a different location.

It was good overall, was clean and relaxing.
but weird to have to phone someone to open the parking area and the front door into the appartments was always open, but we had a good stay

Great location!
Great place! Check-in location is not at the same location as the property which was a bit a confusing. However, they were very helpful and the property was great!

Great Dublin Stay
The Grand Canal apartment was clean and well situated for visiting Dublin. A bit of a long walk to most sights, but reasonable for those in decent physical condition. A bit cumbersome to have to go to the main office to pick up the keys, however. I would suggest to the owners that the kitchen be better stocked with utensils and cookware. We did find making dinner in the small kitchen one night to be a challenge and so ate out most of the time.

If you are a walker, this location has easy access to the city center, museums and restaurants without the constant people traffic around St. Stephen's Green; two grocery stores just minutes away makes shopping easy if you want to cook . The check-in process is difficult as you must go to the opposite side of the River Liffey to register and pick up the key and then find your way to the apartment which is about a 20+ minute or take a taxi if you have luggage. The registration staff at the City break Apartments was extremely helpful and responsive but having to travel a distance to get a key does not make arrival to the apartment easy. Also, there is no coffee pot and only instant coffee packets; however, a coffee shop across the street and many more shops just minutes away provided the early morning caffeine boost needed to start a day in Dublin.

The front door had no security-- no fob needed! The unit lock was sticky and hard to open. The view was not of the quay, rather of a back alley and deserted construction site. Phoning the office each time we entered or exited the parking garage was annoying.
The unit was reasonably clean but in need of upgrades and repair. They did repair some things while we were there e.g. the TV , the broken cupboard door. This was by far the most expensive place we stayed in Ireland and definitely the least value for our money.

We knew from reviews that we would be most likely staying in a different apartment than was pictured and the place we ended up with was in an even better location and ended up being great. Check in process was very easy and communication was great. The property itself was very spacious and in a quiet neighborhood but was walking distance into the city center. I would definitely recommend if you’re visiting Dublin.

This was a great apartment in a great location. Super secure. walkable to everything. Grocery store right next door. cleanest Air b and b I have ever stayed in. Only problem was some ceiling lights stopped working halfway thru the trip ( including bathroom) and it took two days to fix... was fixed as I was leaving. which hampered our ability to fully use one bathroom. A little frustrating for the cost of the place. But it was also when STorm Barra hit and the weather wasn't great. I believe it was forgotten about on the first day.... but hopefully just an oversite.... I would still come back and stay here. It was one block from where my daughter had lived for a year... so neat to get to experience her old neighborhood.

While we had a very comfortable stay and everything was clean, the pictures shown here are nothing like the apartment we were given. It was 2 bedroom and 2 bath, but only one small couch, no other chairs and nothing else to sit on for 4 people. The kitchen was a tiny kitchenette in the corner of the living room and nothing like the full kitchens shown here.. If I had seen the actual apartment fittings I WOULD NOT have accepted this for the amount. Bit of a bait and switch.
I would STILL book with the company as they were professional and the airport pick up service was excellent, but ask them for pictures of your ACTUAL unit and not this “collage” of other apartments they represent. Also while there are conveniently located stores and restaurants, this area requires a taxi to the central areas of Dublin. Taxis are easy to find and we used a Dublin taxi app which was very efficient and around 15 euro each ride each way . Just budget taxis from this area. It was beautiful and right on the river Liffy so we enjoyed it, but were just surprised it was not nearly as luxurious or as comfortably equipped with enough furniture as the photos would lead you to believe for the price.
