Staff were helpful and their pack lunch was lovely.
Outdated rooms
Luke warm tea/coffee offered at breakfast.

Room was comfortable and spacious.
Breakfast was plentiful, hot and very nice with a good selection (buffet style).
Dinner was nice (albeit limited menu for my taste).
Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Plenty of parking (some just across the road in their carpark, free with a ticket from reception).
Great location for access to Ullswater and surrounding areas.
Shower pressure was brilliant, even on the top floor (but also see negative point below).
Mould in the shower, on tile grout and the shower curtain. This should be removed...it's a 10 min job.
Hotel needs a bit of TLC and modernising. Everything was just a little tired.
The shower couldn't decide if it wanted to be very cold, or boiling hot and would alternate with no obvious pattern. Just as you thought you had it at the right temperature, 20 seconds later it would swing one way or the other. This could be very dangerous for children etc.

The location was excellent, and the staff were outstanding—very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Breakfast and dinner were basic but acceptable. Unfortunately, the main downside was that the food was often cold.
The communal areas of the building were fine, but the rooms were quite outdated but clean. In our room, the window was broken and could not be opened. Overall, the excellent staff made a positive impression and helped make our stay more pleasant.
The breakfast and dinner were served cold. The room was outdated, and there was visible mould inside the wardrobe. The bathroom also needs renovation, as the paint on the ceiling is peeling throughout.
