Breakfast buffet and "light dinner" buffet were both outstanding. A lovely property with quiet rooms and very convenient location. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.

The elevator is small and slow -- possibly because of the historical nature of the building. We were on floors 2 & 3 during our 2 stays, so took the stairs -- which were very convenient.

Location was perfect for exploring the old town area, and easy access to our cruise ship dock. The breakfast and dinners had excellent selections, and the dining area was comfortable and very well appointed. The views of Bergen from the top of the tower were amazing. Staff was friendly, engaging, and very helpful.

Quicker replenishment of some dinner items, especially the main course items.

Meals and dining room staff were VERY GOOD, offering different entrees every evening. Dinner could have included small desert such as ice cream. And possibly coffee. Obviously great location and the front office staff were very friendly and helpful.

I would say the rooms could be little more ergonomically set up. More bathroom storage space and in my opinion do away with the refrigerator and make more space for guests “things”. When I booked the reservation, I commented on it being our 50th wedding anniversary and when we came into our room, there was a nice hand written well wishing note directly in front of the snack and wine basket. We thought it was a gift from the hotel until almost underneath things was the price list for the available items. Think this should have been very clearly posted and of course with what hotels charge for these things, we’ll probably be very surprised. I did bring to front desk

Excellent location, especially if you are spending a few days in Bergen coming off a cruise ship. It is walkable from the cruise port, but with luggage, we opted for a taxi. Extremely close to the lovely Bryggen shops. High ceilings in room made it feel spacious. Thick walls helped deaden hallway sounds. Lovely reception area. Charming old building.

Felt that room was worn and underwhelming for the price that we paid. (Almost $1,000 USD for two nights in a basic room.) The curtains didn't work. The throw pillows on the beds were sad. Bed linens were clean, but not crisp and inviting. Very little counter space in bathroom. Hair that wasn't ours in the shower. Hotel seems to be popular with travel groups. Lot's of people coming in and out. Road construction with jackhammers right outside our room that lasted from 8a to midnight. (Not the hotel's fault, but they could have compensated us somehow.)
