Clarion Hotel Admiral

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Comfortable room but basic amenities.

Lack of cupboard space.

The hotel team were very friendly and helpful and the hotel location was excellent, with a very easy walk into Bergen and to the bus transfer stop. The bed was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was great, with lots of choice.

The lighting in the room was quite poor, with no main light. The room had a bath, but you could only fill it up using the overhead shower, which was quite bizarre, and the grouting around the bath was grubby and missing in parts.

Location was excellent and breakfast good. Room comfortable.

The shower leaked in our room and flooded the bathroom floor. Despite telling the reception staff in the morning no one looked at it and in addition the room was not cleaned despite having to use the towels to wipe up the water. This was on the morning of day 2 of our stay. In the evening I asked the reception staff if someone had looked at the shower and they said yes as it was no longer logged. But the shower still leaked and the room and bathroom was exactly as we had left it that morning. I complained again. I even suggested that the room should be taken out of service. The reception staff suggested i turn down the pressure but we had already done that and directed the spray away from the door. Goodness knows what would have happened if we had used the overhead shower on full!!.

Location

Old hotel, low quality services (bar closed on Sunday), everything was old and with signs on extreme use in the room, cleaning services superficial. Low quality for the money.
