The house was ideal for bringing our family together (adult kids and their partners) for week just before xmas. We especially enjoy the outdoor kitchen, fire-pit, and pool/spa. The location was convenient, the house well appointed, and our hosts easy to communicate with. Thanks!

Overall, we had a good trip. But we were extremely extremely extremely disappointed that we were not informed that the climbing wall that was in the pictures right up until the day we left for our trip had been destroyed and taken down. We made a decision between two properties based on that climbing wall for our kids. And when we arrived, there was nothing there. We would’ve booked a different property if we had known.
The kitchen, though, was well appointed, and all of us had a space to call our own. The outdoor space was very lovely as well.

Our two sons and their families met us for a family get together. We were very impressed with the house, the ease of the check in/out process and the owners were so nice!! Highly recommend this location.

8 family members from around the country opted to share this home as my Grandmother was celebrating her 90th at my Uncles in Carlsbad. The location is easily accessible from I-5 and a quick drive to the beach. We made use of every possible amenity given we have 11 and 13 year old boys. The roof top deck is a great vantage point. We swam in the pool, soaked in the hot tub, sweat in the steam sauna, BBQ'd, played pool, corn hole, ping pong... watched movies, cooked breakfasts and dinners. Picked fresh oranges and apples from the trees on the property. Climbed the climbing wall and rang the bell. A very roomy home with lots of things to do. Extremely happy with our stay.

The house was exactly how it looks in the pictures online. We really enjoyed the pool & the backyard. Everything we needed was there. We would highly recommend this home.

Couldn’t have asked for a better house or location. Amazing backyard, tons of space, great location. Our biggest frustration was deciding between going to the beach (less than 10 minute drive to great beaches) or just hanging out at the house in the backyard. It was like our own private little resort. We had an awesome time!

It was amazing property for family vacation! We had 4 kids ages between 7 thru 11years old. Kids had multiple things to keep them busy: pool, ping-pong and climbing wall! House is at great location with only minutes to ocean, LEGOLAND, Carlsbad. You will have a great time!!

This house is awesome—it has everything you could ever hope for in a vacation home. My son just graduated high school and we brought 3 of his friends along with our family. Video games, pool and ping pong tables. Swimming pool and hot tub. Outdoor BBQ sitting area. Beautiful location for hiking, playing at the beach, kayaking, not too far from city/Padres game. Quick response on questions from owners. Great house/gorgeous backyard—would definitely recommend!

The pool was wonderful! The ping-pong and pool tables were used heavily, the beds were comfy. There were plenty of provisions from basic spices to beach towels. We cooked in almost every night and had everything we needed. It's a 20 minute walk to the beach and nice quiet neighborhood. We'd love come stay again!

We stayed with our family of 4 and another family of 4. The place had everything we needed for a really fun time. The pool and hot tub heated well, everything we needed was in the kitchen to cook meals, and the place was comfortable and well decorated. We would stay again!

South Oceanside is a perfect place to stay, just a bike ride to the beach. The host Janet and her husband welcomed their home to us when our house flooded. They completely understand our situation and let us check in early. Overall our kids had a blast from the ping pong table to the pool and the fantastic view from the upper deck. If they ever sell their home, I would buy it, lol 😆. I can only imagine what it would be like to book this wonderful home for the summer.

A beautiful house, central in location to everywhere we were going (Legoland, Christmas lights at the botanical gardens, Harbor Island). Room layout in the house was perfect for a multi generational family visit with 2 beds and bonus area upstairs and 2 beds down. The children loved the pool, it's only somewhat deep in the center, good for playing volleyball. The taller ones enjoyed the rec room playing ping pong, the littler ones enjoyed the space to just run around. The kitchen was well supplied, although we didn't have steak knives. Good parking and very easy freeway access. We enjoyed ourselves!

I cannot say enough nice things about my vacation at this property. From the moment we woke up, playing ping pong, to spending the day in the pool, and finishing the night off BBQing and watching the grandkids play on the rock wall. It was definitely an experience we will never forget!

We had a wonderful time at this awesome vacation house! So many fun things for the kids to do.. while at Legoland, we heard many times that the kids wanted to go back to play at the house! It was great for our group of 8.. location was perfect.. communication with Janet was nice and easy.. would love to come back again!

Absolutely fabulous!
The house is set up for families! We spent all day at the pool in the backyard. The outdoor space is spectacular - pool is heated, gas bbq, tons of seating, hot tub with jets, private and beautifully landscaped- everything you need to relax and enjoy So-Cal.
We travelled with five adults and five kids, ages 8 and under. They had everything we needed. The house is well stocked and Janet and Dave were a pleasure to deal with. They were attentive and responded quickly!
The location of the house was ideal for us - under 10 minutes in any direction to get to beautiful beaches, shops, and Handel’s ice cream. It was about 35-40 mins to central San Diego.
We will be back!

Amazing house and backyard for kids!
What a FUN house. It has everything - a shaded pool (with little kid lagoon area), hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, climbing wall (for older kids/adults), and a ton of little kids toys upstairs. Our family had a blast. We had a miscommunication over check-in time, but our host was incredibly accommodating and communicative. We hope to be back, it was fantastic!

Comfortable Oceanside house
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The pictures do not do it justice in that it was much more bigger than the pictures show. The pool and jacuzzi were huge as we spent many hours there. Close to shopping and to beach. Janet was a awesome host. She addressed our needs immediately. Highly recommend this property!!

Great time in Oceanside
The house was great and Janet helped us personally with check-in. The kids loved the pool and the hot tub, and Janet was super responsive when we had questions or needed a new propane tank, for example. We loved how close it was to Legoland land and Carlsbad! It was a great trip!

My friends and I stayed at this property to celebrate my sisters 34t birthday. We stayed here with 2 of our children and their families. The location was perfect for us. The house is updated and cozy. It's close to the Strand and Oceanside pier, Carlsbad, shopping and is very convenient to freeway access. The kids LOVED the pool and swam almost non-stop. (There were plenty of beach towels for everyone.). We also played a lot of ping pong and cornhole. The rock was was fun, but a little too difficult for the 7 and 5 year olds. There is a roof top deck where you can see the ocean. We had a fun picnic up there! Janet was very prompt at getting back to us with any problems we encountered. We loved our stay!
