Restaurant closes too early

Stunning, modern hotel Lovely upbeat vibe in the hotel Amazingly beautiful and exceptionally comfortable rooms Staff so helpful and friendly Great location. Very central. 2 blocks either side from Old and New Town

Bathroom door troublesome. Couldn't close it Needed to call maintenance few times No kettle in the room. Only a Nespresso machine for making coffee.

The noisy aircondition right beside the bed. The rather unfriendly reception desk.

The location was great. The look of the place and the lobby and foyer was great as well. The bonus was the fantastic Boulangerie that is connected to the hotel.

This place was so disappointing for the price. This seems to be the new trend in hotels. Spartan European 2 star style rooms. Small, with hard surfaces and no dresser or space to put things IE places to set your clothes when you unpack your bags. Just a small shelf along the wall under the wall mounted tv. And what is with these bedframes sticking out from the mattress in a small room to whack your shins on. We stayed at a hotel in Alt Hotel in St Johns for under $200 and the room was almost identical with the same frosted glass wall in the shower that can be seen from the room. Seems they picked the same minimalist Scandinavian type furniture as well. The bathroom also had no shelves or counter space. At $450 you would think there would be enough room for 2 small travel cases to be places by the sink. The ceiling was unfinished concrete with a hard industrial look. This seems to be the trend in new hotels. Pack as many small rooms into the hotel as possible. Hype a "chic minimalist" style and charge a luxury rate. The photo is of the room at the Alt, if you compare it with the website for the rooms here you will see they are virtually the same.

The hotel was so great! the rooms were clean and the service from the moment we arrived was outstanding!
