A beautiful piece of paradise!! It’s so peaceful out by the pool. Everything is always clean when we arrive. Joni is a great host. She makes sure you have everything you need. We will definitely be back.

This was the perfect location & beautiful space. We thoroughly enjoyed the dog-friendly accommodation, the pool, & the lovely indoor & outdoor spaces.

Perfect location, comfy beds, a cute little pool, and all the amenities you could want - we were especially pleased there was a coffee grinder, French press and coffee beans waiting for us. We had a delightful stay with our two teenagers and hope to come back!

This was our second stay with Joni, and it is absolutely one of my favorite places on this earth, let alone my favorite VRBO. Joni is super communicative and the place is lovelier than can be captured in photos. The location and amenities cannot be beaten if you are heading to Houston. There is no question that we will be back as soon as possible.

My son said it all- ‘this is the best place you’ve ever rented!’ We were here for a few days to check out where he would be going to tech school. The place was just as described and shown in pictures. It was clean, bright, and the pool was the perfect temperature. Joni was easy to work with. Every question asked she answered within a few minutes. I had some dietary issues and she was able to provide me with a list of restaurants that could accommodate me.

Joni has created a lovely home w/ much thought going into every aspects of the space, amenities and aesthetics. Great deck, pool and a well equipped kitchen . Brava Joni and Birdie! PS I slept so well, like I don't remember in a long time.

The nice-sized kitchen is part of the great room that includes the living room - very useful, tasteful and comfortable...the bedrooms and baths are the same, of course - lovely fabrics and linens, wonderful tub and shower/s...a clean, happy guest house...Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here, especially relaxing in the pool and on the patios. The property is modern, clean, and comfortable. There are two bedrooms, one up and one down, each with their own bathroom attached. We took advantage of the full kitchen to make a few meals. There are many restaurants and shops nearby, as well as grocery stores (Central Market, HEB). Great neighborhood for walking. The owner, Joni, is friendly and responsive, and we really enjoyed Ms. Birdie. :) We would definitely return!

We had a great time in this rental! Beautiful neighborhood, within 15 min of everything we needed. Host and her pup were both very accommodating and kind. We were sad to leave!

This property was even better than pictured! More than enough space for my family - with two kids. They loved the heated pool and we loved the location. Able to walk to great restaurants! And Joni was just the best host ever. So responsive and helpful! This place has everything you need: kitchen, washer, dryer, gamse for the kiddos. Just the best!

Wonderful, sweet cottage in the heart of Montrose on a beautiful tree lined street. The space is light filled and charming with a great deck. Very comfortable and well appointed.

We had a great time at Joni and Birdie's place. Very peaceful and beautiful setting. Great place for my husband to recover from his surgery. Location to shops, restaurants and MD Anderson is very close. Always a place to park. Joni is a caring excellent host and very helpful to all your needs. We will definitely go back for another stay. What an amazing place to spend time with friends. Such a comfortable and relaxing space full of charm, lovely art, a private patio, and the nicest pool you’ve ever plunged in. Thank youuuu!!!!

Lovely pool house with comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, private porch for morning coffee, and a beautiful pool! We stayed here for one week while we were in the process of moving. Joni was very communicative and helpful. We enjoyed walking to the nearby restaurants and Menil area. HEB is very close too! Our kids really enjoyed their daily swim. And our dog loved hanging out with Birdie in the yard! Thank you for such a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was roomy, comfortable and charming in a great neighborhood. It is walkable to the Menil and some great restaurants in Montrose. The pool was a huge hit with our children. We would stay there again for sure!

I manage reservations for five of my employer’s VRBO properties so I’m well aware of what a good review can (or cannot) tell a potential guest about a property. In all honesty, this location was perfect for our vacation. The pool house sits behind the owner’s main house in a quiet neighborhood just off the hustle and bustle of Westheimer. The two bedrooms are rather comfortable and the kitchen/living room combo on the second floor was roomy enough for my family of four. The kitchen itself was outfitted with everything you might need during your stay. A deck just off the second level provided a relaxing place to hang out (there are couches, chairs etc.) as well as to sit and eat breakfast in the mornings. Having a pool to relax in at the end of a long day was great as well and there is a gas grill in case you would like to cook hamburgers, etc. The parking was along the street but it seemed to be a safe neighborhood as cities go. The owner was very responsive before, during and after our stay so no worries there. So…any downsides? Very few. The two TV’s were set up to work with Netflix and other streaming services but no DirecTV. It didn’t bother us a bit but I include it just in case someone wanted to know. The water pressure in the shower seemed to be low but that’s hardly the owner’s fault. I had no problem with that either. Overall, I have to say it made a wonderful backdrop for a family vacation. We’ll be back!

We had a great experience staying at this property while visiting family in Houston! The apartment was lovely and well maintained, and the pool and pool area were such a luxury. Joni was a wonderful host. We travel to Houston often and want to stay at Joni’s place again next time.
