The guy who brought our luggage's was super nice. Before he left we found out that our tv didn't work. He went downstairs and came back with new room key and moved us to there...and it was upgraded room....what a great service and great guy, can't remember his name. You should give him a bonus....Kamp has been always our first choice when staying in Helsinki.

Ablosuletely loved our stay, we were only there for one night, but will definitely come back. The hotel is incredibly gorgeous, the lobby, the restaurant/bar, the room, everything about it is so beautiful. There are so many little details that make this hotel gorgeous. I was impressed and it is not easy to impress me. I stay in 5 star hotels all the time, but this one is one of a few that stood out to me. If you like old fashioned luxury style, you will love this. It’s very unique, feels very rich but at the same time, feels like home. It’s like visiting your grandmas house in a good way. I felt very comfortable, love the fact that there is a mall inside of the hotel. The check in process was very quick, very smooth, they were nice enough to let us have a complimentary late checkout without a question. We forgot our charger, and the reception was very sweet and let us borrow theirs. The thing I liked the most is that you can truly feel that the staff was genuinely nice and friendly. It didn’t feel forced upon them. It’s often when I visit a nice hotel I feel like the staff is not happy to see you and doesn’t really want to be there. But here it felt different.

We used to live in Finland and were excited to stay at the famous Kämp hotel. Their restaurant and bar are top notch and the service is awesome. For the hotel, you are absolutely paying for the location, as it is on the older side and needs a revamp in some areas. The carpets were worn and a bit disappointing that they aren’t vacuumed every day. Cleaning was very inconsistent and not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. Maybe because we stayed in July and some staff are on holiday. I think we’ll give the St. George a try next time and then just pop into the Kämp for drinks.

I have posted a review on Google. This is hands-down the best hotel in Helsinki. They really care about their guests and the dining and bar options are superb. Staff are impeccable and incredibly kind. A Grand Hotel experience, indeed!

Excellent rooms and service, though expensive. Very good breakfast buffet.
Some communication between staff could be improved, as they were repeatedly confused about our late check-out, granted when we checked in.
Also, an email explaining the most convenient entrance would have been nice, as our cab dropped us off at the entrance to the Esplanade, which is a pain to negotiate with much luggage.

The Kämp undoubtedly is the most elegant and noble hotel address in Finland. The personnel paid tribute to this fact throughout our stay. However, within the room, minor details such as missing items and lack of cleanliness, meant the reality failed to live up to the expectation. Now, as soon as they were addressed to the staff, they handled them, so overall no disaster, but still disappointing this is supposed to be the most impeccable address in Finland.
Highlight must be said to be the breakfast buffet which, although maybe not as opulent in variety, delivered with magnificent taste of all items, and really stood out.

Lovely property with a perfect location in Helsinki. We walked everywhere we wanted during our trip from the hotel. Tons of shopping and dinner options near by. Hotel staff offered lovely recommendations for dinner. Large rooms that were well maintained and cleaned. Only complaint is that the rooms are a little dark and outdated. My husband used the spa and said it was nice. Only negative was that the spa services were only available from 10-6. Minor downside considering everything the hotel has to offer. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Simply Asian discriminating.
You don’t want to dine at this place if you are Asian. Employees at the Hotel restaurant range from unfriendly to plain rude. We made reservation at 9 PM. We went there 10 minutes before 9PM. They wouldn’t seat us until 9:00 even though the place is half empty, and told us the kitchen closes at 9:30 and we need to be out by 10 pm. In the same time, in front of us they seated one family that didn’t have reservation. Our server didn’t greet us, he sent a busboy to take our order and served wine. We ordered immediately to same time, the food took a long time to be served giving us about 20 minutes before we had to evacuate. The cherry on the cake was the server practically throwing our entree dish on our table hitting the wine glass without an apology. When we asked for the check, they threw the bill on the table. It is a shame that this is the official restaurant of the hotel, while the hotel staff were very nice and courteous.
