Roomy, clean and warm

The beds were comfortable. The shower was nice and hot.

We arrived a little early and the place was filthy, after ringing the owner he advised that the cleaners had not yet been so we left and came back an hour later. There was a distinct smell of bleach, it had been cleaned and the beds had been made up nicely. However the location was like something from Shameless, it is on a very busy road so parking was an issue. I was worried parking the car in case it was broken into! When we arrived a women was trying to kick down the front door approx. 3 doors down. We found a drunken man sitting on the front step of the property, not once but twice, on two separate days (same man, couldn’t speak he was so drunk) which scared the kids. The toilet seat was loose and moved when you sat on it (my partner fixed it in two minutes). The bathroom blind had fallen down (there was an offer to fix this the next day, however we were only staying 2 nights so a little pointless). There was paint pealing from the walls in the sitting room and kitchen, possibly due to damp. The screws were loose in the bar stools in the kitchen and the only mirror in the property was jammed into a towel rail above the end of the bath. It wasn’t secured so we could move it to a more appropriate place.

The house inside was clean and tidy

The area was run down and garden had a lot of rubbish

The cleanliness was awful.

The accommodation was neat, clean and beautiful.

Absolutely lovely property, would stay again.

Just make sure cups are clean before next guests
