very good location, clean and quiet

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Bath and bath products were lovely. Location was good for sights by a Bahn

Roof top bar was shut but you could take drinks up to the top level. Only 2 foreign beer choices at bar. No German beer. could not accommodate our request for a 2 rooms near each other. 1 room on 1st floor and 1 on 6th.

The bed was comfortable and big.

Staff were ok, but not that friendly

First, I would say the best thing here is the location. Views from the terrace are amazing. But also price-quality made it a great option for Berlin. Rooms were quiet, simple yet well decorated and comfortable and we loved the toiletries. The staff was always beyond kind and had a smile for us every time. I mention that it should be a hidden treasure as I don't know how well known it is among travellers, but didn't appear within the top options while looking for a place to stay there. To me this was the best place to be in Berlin for the first time and if I come to be back, I definitely would stay there again every time.

We received an upgrade for one of the two rooms I made reservations for and, certainly it was bigger, warmer in the sense that it received more sunlight which was great and had a better view, oriented to a courtyard. We were really happy with this. However, entering the room we noticed that the temperature was not even cool, we put this fact aside as we thought it could be the AC may have been turned on just before we got there and as we went out that night, we simply let it go expecting it would be ok once we get back. But it wasn't. Front desk told me technicians weren't available until the next morning (it was 2AM so totally understandable) and that they were fully booked for the night so they cannot move us into another room. We had to stay there with windows open, but did little to nothing. At this point I still prefer the upgrade we had, but unfortunately I cannot say we slept that well that night.

Rooms clean and well furnished. Hotel location was good and we were able to walk to many of the local attractions. Some of the staff seemed a bit vague when we were asking about the situation with the bar.

Roof top terrace/bar was having a private function so was unavailable to hotel guests. That’s okay and I had no problem with that. However, the main bar downstairs was also shut for no apparent reason. We were looking forward to having our final evening in the hotel bar. I found this very unacceptable. Ultimately we had to go out and spend our money somewhere else, so it was their loss. In our 3 night stay, the roof top terrace/bar was apparently shut on a Monday, open Tuesday, and shut again Wednesday for the private function. In all honesty I don’t recall ever seeing the bar downstairs open either. Not sure if they had staff issues?

Breakfast was wonderful, excellent selection of hot and cold choices. Location was also very convenient - near to station and also walking distance to all the main sights. Very comfortable beds and great shower.

The room was very dark and the lighting was not great so it was sometimes difficult to see/locate items. Would have liked more coffee/tea provided.

while personally not a problem for me room was furnished in black which made it rather dark, this may not be to some travellers taste.

Spotlessly clean hotel, great breakfast and wonderful location. Staff were always very helpful and friendly.

It was possible to stay with a pet (cat) - we appreciated that! The bar at the roofterrace is just wonderful with so friendly waiters :)

Wi-Fi could have been better, I could not use it at all.

excellent location for visiting Berlin

Dark in places

Location is absolutely excellent, very close to sights, shops, transport etc - couldn't be better. The good soundproofing was appreciated! The room was well-designed and the bed very comfortable, with nice toiletries. We didn't bother with breakfast as it was quite expensive, but others seemed to like it. Reception and night staff were very helpful.

We understood that the roof terrace might be closed in May, but expected the bar to be open - it wasn't. The room was stylish and comfy but also very dark - the option of a little more lighting over the desk or mirrors would be useful!

Went to this Amano hotel for the half Marathon week-end, convenient location. Staff and housekeeping were super helpful and attentive to special requests (extra towels). We had a room opposite from street view which was Nice/ more silent.

Bedsheets a bit used/old. Found a hole in it.

asked for a twin got a tight double and was too close to my friend for my comfort. room was too hot in March. A/C didn’t help had to keep window open. all night. lastly, tea and coffee weren’t replenished. I know this is picky but a man needs a drink in the morning.

excellent location, very clean rooms, filling breakfast with all kinds of food

Brilliant location, was in a great part of Berlin to explore for the first time. Room was super clean, bed was comfy, lovely looking hotel, nice staff. The lift said "ground floor" in an exaggerated Cockney accent which was a highlight! Really enjoyed our stay.

Nothing really to dislike!

Great beds, big with good mattress. Quiet room even though it was at the front, Excellent location, close to train station and shops etc. Everything was very clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast was an excellent selection and nice ambience, big room with lots of space.

The only small down side was that there wasn't any refreshments in the room, not even water. There was a sign saying they could be purchased from somewhere downstairs, but I didn't see anywhere to buy things. Water at least should be available in the room.
