This hotel was fabulous. The staff very helpful and nice. The breakfast was excellent. The location was very walkable to many sites but out of the craziness of the tourist areas.

Hotel Fauchon Kyoto was beyond excellent and truly exceeded our expectations. The service was exemplary from start to finish. Everyone on the staff was wonderful — reception, the maître d’ at Breakfast, housekeeping, and restaurant staff all made us feel very welcome.
The room was spacious, very comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The amenities were amazing. Breakfast and dinner were both fantastic, and the food was excellent throughout our stay.
The hotel is also very conveniently located for exploring Kyoto.
Simply put, this hotel goes beyond five stars. The best hotel experience we have had in our travels in Japan.

This was an exceptional boutique. Stylish, luxurious, and well-located. It’s been the highlight of our travel in Japan thus far. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and helpful the staff is, or about how exquisite the restaurants are. But equally important: the hotel rests on a beautiful path that makes getting to Pontocho Alley a breeze (highly recommended for an evening stroll to find picturesque restaurants). Fauchon is an all around gem.
