Clean. Quiet.

Lovely apartment. I came with my daughter prior to college drop off and location was good. Have to admit I was a little wary pulling up in middle of night with just us “women” staying in a garden apt in the middle of nowhere in the dark with no one else around. Doug came and introduced himself and that put me more at ease. He was attentive and noticed in am when I had locked myself out and came to help. Inside of apartment was lovely. Outside grounds were beautiful and relaxing come daylight!

Again, little intimidating to find your way to unit through unfinished basement hallway although directions were well Labeled. It’s just the nature of the property/area and my comfort level as a city dwelling suburbanite.

The place was immaculately, unbelievably clean. Everything was labeled to ISO 9002 standards. WiFi? Easy. TV? Easy. Fold out couch and linens? Easy. Coffee and tea as well as select beverages in the refrigerator included. Spoke to Doug once on the phone in panic over the location and he was an absolute gentleman. I think this place would be EXCELLENT for a short-term rental, but shouldn't be confused with a B and B or a boutique hotel.

This property is not in downtown Ithaca as indicated on the listing. It's actually in the town of Dryden, 3.6 miles from the listed location. Though the property has many outstanding characteristics, there were many borderline shocking features. The property is in the basement of a single family home -- more appropriate for a listing on AirBnB, VRBO, or Craigslist as opposed to Booking.com or Hotels.com. We actually had to call the owner to verify that we were in the right location. The approach to the apartment is a bit creepy. You enter at the back of the garage and descend to the basement down a dimly lit hallway. A bit of expectation management on the listing would have been helpful.
