Hotel Place D'Armes

The location was excellent. The room was well appointed although it would be nice to have a folding suitcase rack. The service was very good. The restaurant was very good. The whole hotel was very clean and appealing.

There was a good amount of noise throughout the two nights we were there including a car alarm, slammed door, people talking and cheering, and music. The pillows were very hard. The bath felt like we were sleeping on bags of rocks. We did nor particularly like the overhead shower fixture. It di not provide much water pressure.

Location

We had our plane cancelled, staid the first night in the airport! Call the hotel and said they had to charge us for that night or they would cancel our reservation. We thought we were paying around $450 a night and it ended up costing over $700 per night! The first room they gave us was very small and no drawers! Lights were not plugged in, reading lights not working correctly, squishy, it took 4 tries in two days to get them to bring up two suit case stands. I needed distilled water for her coax breathing machine. They did retrieve some for us after I complained about all this. And the mgr Tina was great she upgraded us to a vert nice suite for the last two days

Great location! Beautiful building.

The photo frames in the hotel room strike me as mismatched with the overall aesthetic of the hotel.

The location

It’s an expensive hotel in an old building. Needs a lot of maintenance . Took us two room changes to get a suitable and clean room. The door locks don’t work you have to be patient and the air conditioning must have been installed when the building was built in the 1700’s!
