What a lovely hotel. Our room had amazing views and was very comfortable

Truly outstanding room in a wonderful location. The room was very large with extremely comfortable furnishings and a nice ocean view. Just a couple of blocks from the beach and one short block from Ocean avenue. Ample parking in an underground garage and a very nice breakfast at the Pine Inn across the street.

Can't think of anything that wasn't excellent. Just a wonderful boutique hotel that was a joy to stay in.

Location was fantastic and the view was very nice. I was texted by hotel staff the morning of, and was able to communicate via text throughout my stay. They allowed for an early checkin and texted me when my room was ready. Super easy checkin process. The room was very spacious, with bedroom + bathroom, as well as a separate living room w/ pull out sofa and an additional bathroom. The breakfast was very nice at the sister hotel across the street.

The room was dated in style and old. Also, not very clean. I was happy to get home and take a shower and wash my things. It just felt soiled and needed to be sanitized after I touched things. The price was high for the room quality, but hey it's Carmel, everything is expensive. Also, no coffee maker in the room, and the lobby was not open to get coffee either. Would be nice to have coffee first thing in the morning, went to coffee shop around the corner for a wake me up.

Perfect location, spacious elegant and extremely comfortable rooms, lots of places to sit outside -- one next to an outdoor fireplace, another to take in ocean view, fireplaces keep rooms warm and cozy, and staff goes way out of their way to accommodate your needs.

Breakfast was fair.

we appreciated the friendly hospitality when we were greeted. The room was clean and had a beautiful view. It was within walking distance of everything! I liked the way they walked us to the room and explained all the stuff available to us.

loved it all. They seem to show lots of effort to offer extras like the “happy hour” where you can lounge by the outside fire.

I would love to rate this property, but for the 2nd time we had to cancel. In each case we had booked an ocean view room on the 1st floor. A couple of days after booking, we were notified that the room chosen was not available and that we had been moved to an upstairs room. Due to mobility problems, this switch was not acceptable. We thus had to cancel. I find it interesting (and maddening) that a room advertised was confirmed and then subsequently declared unavailable. We will not book nor recommend Tally Ho again.

Our bathroom smelled like sour sewage pipe. such a shame. The smell seemed to come from the toilet plumbing. The bathroom could use a deep cleaning as well.

Great large room with deck and ocean view. Quiet even though door opens onto street. Comfy bed, nice robe, wine glasses, bottles of water and other extras.

No dislike, but would appreciate a coffee maker.
