La colazione era veramente buonissima

L’atmosfera è quella del tipico vecchio pub inglese ed ha un suo fascino. Peccato che la stanza dove abbiamo alloggiato fosse piccolissima così come il bagno, che il pavimento in legno fosse molto rumoroso anche al passaggio delle persone nel corridoio e che quello della stanza presentasse una pendenza non indifferente. Il letto non era particolarmente comodo. Il tutto sarebbe stato accettabile se il prezzo della camera fosse stato più contenuto. Ma per quello che veniva offerto il prezzo era sicuramente alto. Nulla da eccepire su personale e colazione, al top.

Faultless

The property has a beautiful view and very charming on the outside the restaurant/pub area is great and lots of character. Perfect location for Ambleside Windermere and Keswick! Bang in the middle! The food was tasty we ate on our first night. The main man sorry didn’t get your name was very welcoming. The room smelt very clean when we arrived but the second day when we returned it had a damp smell. The bed was very comfortable!

The room we was given didn’t seem like the pictures for what we had chosen to have booked … it was an awkward shape and the floorboards wow!!! I know it’s an older property which we have stayed in before but this is another level of noise! Everywhere in the room And also could hear people from downstairs quite a lot… and then anyone who walked past our room which was a lot as we was by the stairs , the floorboards you could also hear through the door! We was so tired from our walking though we did sleep… the bathroom could have done with a regrout and silicone but again that’s being fussy as most bathrooms these days in hotels this is a problem.

Friendly welcome and helpful staff.

Rooms were very dated especially the en-suite was like a caravan shower cubicle and quite mouldy.
