Old spring mattresses, breakfast, toast like warm bread. Car park a good walk away which is not stated. People with walking difficulties would struggle up the hill.

Very dated decor, mould on bathroom ceiling.

Location and staff

The location is great. You don't have to walk through the pub to get in and out.

We knew before we booked there would be noise from the live bands and you could hear every word of conversation but as we were expecting that it was fine. What we didn't expect is only a 6 hour window for sleep before staff start dragging tables around at 6am for over an hour. We were not the only couple to get very little sleep. I had poached eggs on the first day and when I asked the next day the chef wouldn't do them despite being on the menu. The quality of breakfast the second day was not as good as the first day. Don't expect your bed to be made or changed they don't do it.
