Beautiful property, the balcony with the amazing views over the medieval cité was a particular highlight! Fantastic friendly hosts.

My husband and I stayed at Maison 1888 for a week and loved our stay! The house is super conveniently located. All attractions and convenience (restaurants, bakeries, convenient stores) are all within walking distance. The house is incredibly nicely decorated and comfortable. And of course, the rooftop with the view of la cite was incredible! Mike and Peter were incredibly nice and welcoming as well. Would definitely recommend and consider staying here again if we are back in town.

It got a little hot on a few days without AC in the house.

It was self-catering and had excellent facilities for doing so - loved the view from the terrace Gorgeous shabby chic decor - all farrow and ball and very tasteful with beautiful comfy bed linen towels etc (although I never found any kitchen towels) Particularly loved the top floor sunroom, mini kitchen and terrace

More information about how to use the electric toilet - took us ages to find the switch. Also more info about access to the local shops, taxis, buses (esp airport). The stairs were not a particular issue for us but we only used the top two floors so anyone with mobility/health issues would need to be aware. Also one or two of the stairs were a bit dodgy again tricky for some. Husband banged head frequently on low doorways but just need to be aware

Lovely house with four floors and an amazing terrace including the view on the medieval town. Mike & Peter have been extremely welcoming and everything was arranged upon arrival. Only 30 min walk to the historic city center and only a stone’s throw away from lovely wine bars. We will definitely come back somewhen in the future.

The house was very comfortable and has everything you needed. There was room to spread out yet the house was still compact with its original lay out. Decorated and styled to perfection it was quirky yet homely and the view from the roof terrace really was special.

It was not a problem for us but with the stairs you do need to be reasonably fit! Also the location was great for us but again you need to be up for walking as it’s ideal to explore on foot both la Cite and the Bastide but you will cover some ground walking round it all.
