Restaurant food menu for dinner and breakfast was amazing, food presentation and portion size and price were brilliant. Our compliments to the chef. Reception and bar staff very friendly and helpful. Dining room staff very good, very friendly and helpful - special thanks to Wendy who was lovely and so friendly and helpful.
Good hotel location, close to Carlisle and a short drive to Keswick and Derwent Water and the other coastal towns.
Very disappointing, our room (7) was tired, bathroom needs a refurbishment, shower tile grouting and white sealant had black mould and needed cleaning/redoing. Sink plug had no chain fitted, sink had a crack in it, lack of shelving/storage surface to put anything on, toilet flush required several operations of the lever. One bedside light centre stand locking nut insecure. Bathroom extractor fan didn't appear to work.

Very convenient and nice large rooms.
Dinner and breakfast excellent
Room had a strange smell even a bit dusty. We opened windows which helped. I asked if pets had been in the room but was told no. Otherwise no issues. We’ve stated there before and it is a nice property.

Location was fine, breakfast was adequate
Very little space on coffee making facilities, short lead on kettle, had to boil on floor, not the best as our mobility not the best, TV in awful position and also covered up the mirror, mattress quality poor, very soft and uncomfortable, could have been deeper as you caught your legs on wooden sides of bed when getting out
