The cabin was nice, perfect for miners. It was clean and rustic, great access to the park and supplies for mining. We grilled and used the kitchen to cook. It had everything we needed and was perfectly adequate. TV worked and we couldn’t have asked for more in a miners cabin!

Cockroaches rodent droppings smelled like urine ceiling caving in many lights burned out cleanliness non existent water smelled very bad furniture was filthy tub and toilet was not cleaned from prior use previous tenents clothes (i.e.) underware etc. left in closets if you want to call them closets overall a terrible place only good thing was it was very close to state park

Where to start. From the leaves clogging the gutter, to the black mold in air conditioner, the creepy door that has bolt at on top with some kind of sensor to the carpet bulge with a lot of staples, the bath tub not attached to the drain. The two full length mirrors on either side of bed facing the bed. Overall this place should be taken off your list. To be fair it is close to the park enterance, its' another two miles to visitor center. If you wanted a place close to the diamond mine this not the place to stay. But if you want ghost experience this is it.

WE used this as a rest between digs in the park. Kids like the big screen TV and the screen porch was a great place to store our equipment. Quiet, peaceful place. This is a cabin with two bedrooms nice living room and kitchen. Basic necessities

The place was absolutely filthy. Cockroaches galore. Mice dropping on the stove, under the sinks and in the cupboards. Had no other choice but to stay. I will never step foot in that place ever again. Disgusting

Place has terrible smell, floors very dirty, curtains full of dust, widows so dirty you can't see out, very uncomfortable beds, fridge horrible, under sinks disgusting with mice droppings, dirty towels in kitchen, hole in deck DANGEROUS. Since we knew there would be no refund, we cleaned, bought candles, fabreeze and made the best of it. We will NOT return! Not a very good first VRBO stay.

Close to where we were going and plenty of space for our family. Kids loved the outdoor area.

It is a rustic cabin, but with running hot water. The property was clean in some areas, but not others. There were no towels and it only sleeps 4 unless you bring sleeping bags yourself. It is a good location for going to Diamond Crater state park and check in was easy.

We stayed 2 nights at this cabin. 2 adults and 2 kids age 11. Cabin is very close to Crater of Diamonds which was the purpose of our visit. The cabin was for sleeping and showering only for us. We did not cook. The cabin was fine. It is not fancy, it is old and not as clean as some might want but not as dirty as some places Ive been to. If you are looking for a modern cabin this is not for you. The space heaters worked great as temps were in the 30s at night. I do wish we would have brought our own linens but they did provide them other than towels. The campsite is a bit dated and run down but like I said its older. We didnt talk with anyone but people that obviously live there waved and seemed nice enough. We loved that they allowed pets and lots of space to walk our dog. I would stay there again but only for the purpose of sleeping and showering. They have a few places to eat nearby but only one chain place, Sonic. Baskin Robbins was close by too. 😊

Heater was lit when we arrived. Manager met us at the property 5 minutes after our arrival. Little musty smell inside not the cleanest but ok for camp. Overall a good experience .

Do not stay here unless you don’t mind flying roaches landing on you, black mold, rat, and Roach droppings. I guess anyone can list a property on vrbo and they aren’t checked out. I tried contacting owner with no response. Had to go get another hotel. Out my money and explained to vrbo I am allergic to roaches and mold and they still asked me to go back to property to try and get pics of everything.

The cabin was a bit outdated but it was clean when we got there. It did have a bad odor when we walked in, but that went away the next day. This cabin would be good for men to stay in. We went with three ladies. The place across the street was a little scary. There was stuff scattered everywhere. It gave off a bad vibe so we never stayed there. We went back during the day to drop off the key and stayed in a hotel in town. The host was nice and waited for us to get there before he left, but again a scary place for three women to stay. If you are going on a guys trip this place would be great for you but not for women on their own.

This is an older home located almost inside the state park. The cleanliness isn't perfect but the price and location make up for any other flaws.
