The hotel is ideally located, just across the bridge from the cathedral and fortress, with plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our room was very comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. The hotel was also very quiet, which was a real bonus. Breakfast was lovely, with a great variety of options. I particularly liked that the waitress asked if we would like eggs and then cooked them fresh to order. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening, and the food was absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

The only minor issue we experienced was that our room was a little too warm on the first night, but this was easily resolved by turning off the radiators.

The room was great and the hotel location was excellent, within walking distance of all the main attractions. It was a great old hotel with bakeries, restaurants, and ice cream shops all close by. The old street, churches, fountains, gardens, and fortress are all within walking distance. Location was key. Please note: If you are driving to this location, the parking is not on site. It is about a 10 minute walk and is located inside a mountain, yes a mountain. If you want to drop off luggage first, there are barriers preventing you from driving on the street so you need a code to get in and out of the very narrow streets. You get the code from the hotel which you cannot get to in a car. And if you arrive late, there are special instructions. My advice is to not arrive by car, it was not fun.

The parking lot was not on site.

The furnishings in the room seemed outdated.

Breakfast was amazing and staff terrific. Rooms are very small. We had a room without AC. NEVER book a non AC room in summer. It was so hot and the fan they gave us kept shutting off. This is an OLD hotel. Lots of character but very small and many steps. Very difficult and confusing parking.

Parking and even finding the hotel was hard. The rooms were very very small. DO NOT get a non AC room in summer. We literally barely slept. This is a very expensive hotels and the rooms and amenities did not match the price
