The location was nice and the hosts were responsive. The room itself really is just a hotel/motel room. It was clean and equipped. The kitchenette, is only a small fridge and a microwave and a coffee pot (no filters or coffee, however I contacted the host and those were dropped off). This is no more than what is usually in a hotel/motel room. The beach towels provided were nice. The balcony, which I really wanted, was almost useless. It is a Juliet balcony (that is stated in the details. However, there is also a 2 foot pillar in the center. The doors open from the center so you have to pull them all the way open to get the 16" on each side to step out. You can't leave the doors open without turning off the air conditioning, but there really is barely any room to close the doors behind you or to put a table by the doors. With the big post in the middle, you can only put one person on each side so it really was useless to us. There is a pool deck on the same floor, so we did go out and sit there, but would have loved it from our room. Also, you can book the hotel direct and it is cheaper and you may get an actual balcony (some rooms have them). And you then get maid service too every other day. It was fine, it was clean, but for the cost, the amenities were not there.

This is a room in the budget Aqua Palms Hotel-- not an apartment. The room, along with about 1/4 of the 260, has a private owner -- an arrangement I've never encountered. It's managed by a real estate agency offsite, & lacks some in-room amenities the hotel otherwise provides, like cleaning, replacement towels, TP, etc. during your stay. The hotel provides most amenities listed outside of the room itself-- pool, grill, ice, vending machines, coffee, filtered water, etc. For issues with the room, the agency didn't answer the phone except by answering service with replies by text. First 2 nights AC wasn't working; took 3 trips by hotel staff to correct it. (Not the owner's fault; the hotel replaced all the thermostats a month before & hadn't worked out "bugs") The listing mentions "all new furnishings"; while liveable, the black storage unit is poor quality, with drawers that fall when opened. The retractable bed support looks shabby and stained. Main bed was comfy but fitted sheet too small & pulled off every night. The balcony is 1 foot wide. The street is in a very convenient location, & less pricy than ones on the beach, on an incredibly noisy main street full of sirens & motorcycles. After 10 at night it's quieter. There's no hot plate as shown in picture 12. Pot & pan still there but no place to use them. We were expecting to cook more. The booklet explains the taxi deal they offer from the airport-- they don't mention it before you get there. The shower is terrific.

Second time staying in this building. Great location - beach is a quick walk, lots of places to eat nearby. Unit is clean, great AC, can see a bit of the ocean. Loved having access to the pool and gym. Great hosts!

I needed an affordable last minute place and this location popped up. It’s affordable and at the edge of Waikiki so it’s easier to get in and out.
