Fantastic gem in Interlaken with the kindest host

The room was super spacious and very comfortable bed. Room was equipped with wireless charging, usb-c and usb-a ports, plus Google home. Marcel is super welcoming and is always doing improvements to make guests stay more comfortable (he changed a perfectly working shower head to one with filter). Breakfast (8CHF per person) was super generous with the amount of food you get and was absolutely delicious! Located in a quiet neighbour close to supermarkets and 10 minutes walk from the train station.

Awesome location in beautiful Interlaken

Great location near the city center, very welcoming host, and all amenities available. There is free parking available, a kitchen, towels, a shared bathroom that is very clean with hot water. The room is very spacious as well!

Nothing, everything was very accommodating. There is also a grocery store 3 mins down the road.

Unhygienisch und dreckig!

Parkplatz im Hof,geräumiges Zimmer,Bett und Möbel einfach aber okay. Das Bad im EG war recht neu gefliest. Das Bettzeug war dunkel, gehalten,machte aber einen sauberen Eindruck.

Am Haus neben der Eingangstür hing ein Zettel mit allen Namen, Vornamen und der jeweiligen Zimmernummer, Datenschutz gleich Null.Die Zimmertür war offen und der Schlüssel steckte. Schon der Außenbereich machte einen vernachlässigten Eindruck,im Treppenhaus und Flur im EG setze sich dieser Eindruck fort.In allen Räumen waren Spinnweben(diese waren schon schwarz vor Dreck) an den Decken,hinter den Heizungen Dreckablagerungen in allen Ecken,dreckige Vorhänge.Die Kaffeemaschine und der Kühlschrank waren schmierig.Die Tapete an der Küchendecke löste sich an den Stößen und hing runter. Wir wollten eigentlich das Frühstück dazu buchen aber auf Grund der Sauberkeit haben wir darauf verzichtet.Wir haben dort nur geschlafen weil wir es schon bezahlt hatten und wir kein Internet in der Schweiz haben um uns etwas anderes zu suchen. Am Abend trafen wir zufällig der Besitzer und zeigten ihm die Zustände,er zeigte nur wenig Einsicht und versuchte die Missstände runterzuspielen.Wir hoffen das er mit ein bisschen Nachdenken dazu kommt das Haus einer Grundreinigung zu unterziehen und zu renovieren.Das hoffen wir für ihn und vor allem seinen nächsten Gäste.

Value for money. Comfortable stay. Friendly owner.

The light of bathroom on the second floor is rather dim, brighter light will be better. It’s abit noisy if the room next door is going in and out of the room.

clean room. clean kitchen and bathroom. most facilities available. bed not very comfortable and felt cold in the night. maybe could hv asked for extra cover sheet. dint know about the nearest bus station at first. my bad. walked with the luggage to the hostel. Interlaken gymnasium is the nearest bus station. Made life so much easy. overall recommended stay in good budget. Mr Walter is really good. allowed us early check in too for free.

Superbbbb

Everything was great. Very friendly owner to greet and explain things to us. Location is strategic, easily accessible by bus (heavy luggage no prob!). Spacious bathroom. Pantry is complete with kitchenware, coffee machine etc. There are only 6 rooms in this hostel so it was very quiet and peaceful. We love it so much. Highly recommended!

Clean, accommodating and affordable

Location, access to facilities in the kitchen including coffee and tea. Spacious room with wardrobe space.

You could hear other people leaving their rooms it was a little noisy.

Exceptional

Feels like home! Walters is so welcoming, he let us know what we can do around the area. Just a walking distance from Interlaken Ost train station. Can take bus too. If you need breakfast, Walters offers a few with additional charges.

Perfect

Everything exceeded our expectations. Marcel was an exceptional host. Everything was always clean and we felt like at home. The location was perfect for our plans in Switzerland. There was free parking space for our car, Swiss restaurant and grocery nearby... Just perfect.

Nice room and nice host.

Big room with Mountain View. The host was really nice and helped us carry our heavy luggages up stairs. Have free luggages deposit service that allow us to leave luggages before and after check out at the hostel.

Shared bathroom gets a bit busy at night.

Superb

The room is marvellous. The room size is great, and even have a table for 4. It is a shared kitchen and bathroom, but it is clean and provides 2in1 body wash. We have breakfast which is quite nice(especially since we left at seven and breakfast can be provided at 6). It allows us to store our luggage after we check in. It is the best place we stay in Switzerland.

Not that we didn't like it, but it didn't clearly locate where the entrance door is, which is located at the side and we knocked on a window(we are stupid haha)
