the shack was exceptionally clean and the hosts were very informative and welcoming leading up, during and after our stay. the kids loved the toys, the shack was comfortable and cosy and the kitchen was very well equipped. the scenery is absolutely beautiful

Wonderfully cosy house within meters of a picturesque bay that's great for snorkeling, kayaking etc. There's even a small island nearby. Very peaceful location. It's also close to Coffin Bay (Oyster tour there is great BTW!), and Port Lincoln. It was great to have access to a washing machine and vacuum cleaner. Kayaks were a nice bonus along with printed tips and ideas stuck to the fridge that listed activities or places to visit nearby. Thank you!

Very relaxing in a tranquil setting but with enough information to enjoy some new adventures.

Location was very beautiful. In fact the best way to describe it is “Idyllic” - the sort of place you dream about. The hosts provided very helpful information about the area which we made good use of. The accommodation was extremely comfortable.

Nothing really. It was a shack with all the mod cons., very cosy, comfortable beds, great outdoor barbecue area and everything worked. The shower and bathroom area was about average but great hot water system and even the water tasted great!!

Beautiful spot by the water

The location is very peaceful and lovely. The beach house is comfortable and clean. Having use of kayaks turned out to be a great surprise, lots of fun.

Anybody who plans to bring their dog should realise you aren’t allowed to have pets inside the house and the yard is not fenced. This was a bit of a pain for us.

Amazing stay

It was clean and tidy. The views were wonderful and it was so peaceful. The weather was perfect for kayaking and for sitting on the deck to read and relax. The information provided by the host was great and the walks they told us about were lovely. Communication from the host was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble when we messaged them to ask questions. Would definitely stay again.

Superb

The shack is in a stunningly peaceful location. It was very clean and had everything you could need all in good order. Lots close by to see and do but just doing nothing but soaking up rays on the deck was just lovely. The pelicans make for relaxing entertainment.

As a pet friendly site it would have been nice to have a closed in yard for our dogs. It wasnt advertised as having one so thats not a complaint just a suggestion.

Paradise on the Beach

Vandy's Shack is a 'little piece of paradise' on the southern Eyre Peninsula. Cosy, comfortable and very clean, it retains a shack feel but with all of the luxuries you require. We loved the attention to detail and the outstanding communication from the host. The location is unbelievable, being right on the beach where we made the most of the firepit grill, by cooking local oysters for dinner. Loved this place and will return asap! ❤

Perfect Waterfront Getaway.

Spectacular Location. Picture waking up with a view of the water, grabbing a Kayak and heading onto the glass water to watch the sunrise. It truly can't be beaten. This shack is just perfect for a week away - has everything you need and more. Comfortable beds, Coffee Machine, Washing machine, kayaks, SUP and bonus record player etc. Greg was extremely helpful in advance answering queries and left lots of helpful information about the area. The Shack area is quiet (even over Easter) and is close to Farm Beach and only 20 mins drive from Coffin Bay. Cannot wait to head to the area and stay again.

Idyllic

This is a very comfortable shack in a truly stunning location. It’s simple, but has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. The position of the shack, right on the shore of a beautiful bay, is spectacular. Watching dolphins in the bay and the prolific bird life on the shore makes for a peaceful holiday.

Great stay at Vandy’s Shack

It had all the things you need to make your stay comfortable. Great views, well maintained gardens and property with lush lawns. Great communication from the owner, which made it really easy to be prepared.

It is an older property and needs a few minor improvements, but nothing that would impact your stay in a negative way.
