Situated in Stoke Gabriel, this charming chalet for $151 per night is a great option for your next trip. Set in the rolling hills of South Devon The Chalet is a newly converted outbuilding with amazing views to the surrounding fields. It occurs a peaceful corner of our field and gives good privacy without being remote. The Chalet has 2 double bedrooms one with a super king and one with twin beds. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with Grohe shower and Faith in Nature shower products. The kitchen and living area is fitted with a cooker, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and there is a Nespresso Coffee Machine with complimentary pods. The Chalet has its own hot water and heating system. There is a flat screen TV, and a selection of DVDs. The bedrooms have DAB/bluetooth radios. There is an internet connection although please be aware that as this is the Devon countryside it is occasionally temperamental. At the end of the chalet is a private south west facing patio which gets the sun from late morning until sunset. A BBQ is available. The Chalet is situated in Stoke Gabriel, one of South Hams' most beautiful River Dart villages. The river is a 10 minute walk away where kayaks can be hired. There are 2 village pubs, a restaurant and a cafe by the mill pond serving local ice cream. Twenty minutes by car is the sandy beach of Broadsands, whilst the popular Elizabethan town of Totnes, is a 10 minute drive away. The area has many excellent walks and local National Trust properties include Coleton Fishacre and Agatha Christie's summer retreat of Greenway. Linen and towels are provided. Check in is after 3pm and check out is by 11am. There is a minimum 3 night stay.

Absolutely lovely property. The word Chalet doesn't do it justice. Isobel and Paul were friendly and welcoming, yet didn't intrude at all. The Chalet is completely private, well-separated from the house and with the most glorious views. It is very spacious and has been fitted out and furnished to a really high standard and has absolutely everything needed . We (unfortunately) booked for the last week of lockdown when it was very wet and windy and the pubs, cafes and tourist attractions were closed, yet still had a wonderful time. Isobel recommended Emma's Kitchen and we're very pleased that she did as the meal delivered right to the door was superb. We also recommend the steam train from Paignton and boat trip up the Dart, plus a visit to Greenway and a ferry (summoned by the bell on the dock) to Dittlesham. A superb property so well located for that part of Devon. Thanks again. We hope to return!

We booked Isy & Paul's Chalet for a return visit to the wonderful location of Stoke Gabriel. We have fallen in love with the area and needed a base to explore more. We were not disappointed, from the momnent we parked the car and looked out from the front of the Chalet, we thought it couldn't get much better. The views are amazing, we sat a couple of evenings with a glass of wine and the patio double doors open, just looking at the rolling hills and countyside in front of us. the peace and quiet is really important for us and again, the chalet didn't disappoint on that level either. For me, my top 3 essentials when on holiday is. 1. A good bed, 2. A good shower, 3. Peace & Quiet, and if that comes with a view, then it gets my vote. The chalet is well equipped with everything you need for your stay, with added extras too. The position within Isy's garden is great and you still have your privicy as well, to come and go at will. I highly reccommend The Chalet, for a fantastic and peaceful time away in the most beautiful part of the country. Well done to you both for making such a comfortable and beautiful place for others to stay. We will be back soon.

I have visited the Chalet a few times and never want to leave. It has everything you need and is clean and fresh. The views are a pleasant suprise as you go through the gate and you will never grow tired of looking out to this area of outstanding beauty. The sounds of the Countryside are all you will hear, I particularly love listening to the Owls you can hear most nights.

A lovely clean and tidy chalet set in a beautiful and peaceful area of Devon. We couldn't have asked for a lovelier place to stay and it was really central for visiting all the local attractions. The Chalet is the perfect place for peace, quiet, comfort and absolutely stunning views! It was also immaculately clean and well presented with every detail attended to. Isy is a wonderful host - warm, friendly and thoughtful. We only had four days at The Chalet - not nearly enough - but we would most definitely return for a longer spell - we didn't want to leave. Great place to stay if you are looking for total peace and quiet ,there is the small village of stoke Gabriel nearby featuring two pubs and a small shop .The hideaway is an excellent base for exploring all round south Devon we really enjoyed our short break and will definitely return for another short stay ,the property is a credit to Isabel and Paul.

An absolute delight.

We stayed a week in this delightful Chalet and from the moment of entering, to leaving enjoyed every second. It gave everything promised in the amenities and more, because no one can adequately describe the absolute peace and view this building provided. The building itself was fitted out to a very high standard which given the location made it a lovely place to spend time. We can do no more than endorse all the positive comments made about the "Chalet" in Stoke Gabriel and look forward to our return, because return we will.

A hidden Gem

A hidden Gem

My second stay in this spotlessly clean property with all home comforts and stunning views. If you are looking for peace and tranquility with just the wonderful sounds of the Countryside "the Chalet" is the place to go. I was privileged to see the resident Badger Mr B on this visit. The owners are also extremely helpful if you need advice etc. The village of Stoke Gabriel is a hidden gem clinging to the side of the River Dart with some stunning views and good walks. I shall be returning.
