This home features an outstanding formal dining room, full chef’s kitchen, huge great room with gas fireplace - these are just a few of the ample spaces to R&R with family. The overall experience with Gould Street was very pleasant! We loved that it was a short drive to the Beach, grocery store, etc. but also love the fact that we were able to walk down to the pier and the shops area to get ice cream or go out for a date night at the restaurants! The house itself was very beautiful and the pool was the best part. If we weren’t out and about we were in the pool in the afternoon and right before dinner! The property was very well maintained the lawn and pool people came while we were there and took great care of the outside. The inside was a little dusty in a few places that are obviously not used but none of the places that would have been mostly used. The only problem we had was about the kitchen cookware and kitchen utensils, it seemed it was very lacking especially for a family of 7+ that likes to cook for breakfast and dinner each day. Just seemed very minimal for a kitchen of that size. We did love everything else and will definitely return in the future!

The house was comfortable for our 3 families + 3 kids. The house layout was nice with bedrooms up and downstairs, and nice size family room. Overall upkeep of the house was minimal. Good location near Village and quiet neighborhood. Pool is in need of refurbishing. Main complaint was trash bins located right around the corner from pool area. Way too many flies and trash bins not large enough to hold garbage or need more frequent pick-ups. Also, kitchen had the bare essentials, with knives that were very dull.

Our vacation rental experience was very good. The location was within walking distance of the shopping district, pier, and parks. The pool was clean and a fantastic amenity that we used daily! The home was clean, each bedroom had a full bath available, and the kitchen had a great layout. We cooked almost all our meals there and found the extra fridge and spacious butler's pantry invaluable! Sunsets over the golf course made for the best evening photo ops too--just another added bonus!

Overall the stay was very nice. The home is in a great location just up the road from the village. It is very secluded and the bag pipes at sunset were so fun to hear. Home is very large and has an open floor plan so great for a large group. Dining room let us have a very nice dinner prepared by a private chef. There is also a fire pit which was great since the weather permitted. On the down side you can tell this is an investment rental property and not something someone owns personally and takes care of. Furniture is old and not comfortable. You can tell the house is not cared for personally. The kitchen faucet leaks. The upstairs AC unit was not working and we had to stay at another location the first night because it was just to warm. The company did a good job of resolving the issue and Brook was great. Would be nice if someone checked on the house prior to our arrival and these things could have been avoided.

Great location, but the house is in need of some repairs, as well as general updating and a decor makeover. Further, the basic cable was really basic (no ESPN, TBS, SEC Network etc), so fining sports not on the basic 2 networks was impossible... The owner should really think about that one.

House was in a great location and had plenty of room. It was a beautiful home and overall the stay was great. The entry locks were very difficult and frustrating and there is not enough there is not enough trash cans for a home this size. The trash was overloaded and stinking when we arrived. The kitchen did not have enough utenzils/pans/bowls. The remotes need posted instructions for each of the televisions. These are all owner issues and the rental company was great to respond to our needs. With a little TLC, the house would be a "5". The house is very conveniently located to downtown - within walking distance and there is a nice beach access very close when the tide is out. The main beach is only about 5 minutes driving time.

There are positives and negatives to this house but overall we had a good time. We really enjoy the village so being able to walk and bike there was a definite plus. The house is one block to beach access but the "beach" is only accessible during low tide and it's not really a swim location but is good for exploring and finding hermit crabs. It's only a short drive to East Beach though if you want to hang out at the beach. The house is on the golf course but the shrubs are overgrown and largely blocking the view. We could hear the bagpipes in the morning and evening from the golf course and that was cool. We also enjoyed watching the small planes flying to the airport. The house is spacious but there are only four actual bedrooms. There is at least one pull out couch and other couches that could be used for sleeping but it would be tight for families with teens/adults. The house is older and has been updated but the age is definitely showing. The sink in one bathroom didn't work at all. There is mold growing on the ceiling in that same bathroom. The pool is in need of repairs but is useable. The metal furniture outside needs to be replaced.

The inside of the house is ok. The living area only has seating for 5 people. There are two additional chairs in there but they are broken down and worn in. Really uncomfortable! The outside is awful! The pool plaster is breaking off inside the pool and the deck areas. The outside furniture is TERRIBLE. the couch and chair area. The furniture. Is littererly broken and coming apart everywhere with broken down cushions. The furniture in the front is metal and rusted and nasty!

The house was OK, It was not as clean as I thought it should be for the price, the kitchen in particular had sticky dishes and the glasses and cups were nasty.We had to run everything thru the dishwasher to safely use and there was food and garbage under the couches and the furniture was dirty. We stayed over Labor Day weekend 2021. Couldn’t be happier with response from property manager and AC technician. House was very clean and spacious. Being able to have a dedicated bathroom for each of the bedrooms is great when housing a couple families with a couple teenagers. Location is perfect given it is located in an older established neighborhood with many large live oak trees, is quiet and yet close to downtown. TV worked flawlessly, plenty of hot water, and the pool is great.
There are some items, however, with which I was disappointed. The great room and patio furniture are in need of replacement. The BBQ grill needs attention as the cooking grate is crusted and covered with old, used tinfoil – which caused us not to use the grill. That led us to sear chicken on the stove, which led to the smoke alarm sounding. By the time we received instructions on how to turn off the system it was too late to stop the fire department from arriving. (BTW, after-hours emergency contact is very responsive.) Front and rear doors are difficult to close/open. There are just enough eating utensils for our guests which meant we could not have a set to eat with and a set in the dishwasher at the same time. One fork has two tines overlapping one another which caused a cut lip – don’t use that one. Kitchen needs measuring cup and measuring spoons. Hairdryer for the wife would be a nice touch. Spent the first night focused on AC repair – which could have just been bad luck timing for me but a disappointment nonetheless. Trash is to be removed at end of visit; however, I could not do that because the outside trash can was full and appeared to have not been emptied for quite some time.
Bottom line; there are few, relatively minor things to be done in order to have a premier rental. I would consider returning.

We stayed 2 weeks in July 2021. This spacious house is in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood close to the ocean and adjacent to the Sea Island golf course. It's a short drive to East Beach. There's a comfortable pool area where we spent most of our evenings. The kitchen has been remodeled and is great. Loved the side pantry with storage, extra fridge, utility sink and washer/dryer. It would be a great place if it weren't so worn down. While the inside had been freshly painted, the furniture was very worn and uncomfortable. Rusted wrought iron furniture on the front porch. Linen threadbare and some stained. The owner needs to make some upgrades. However, worst of all were the ROACHES! One climbed up my leg while I was watching TV!!! After the rest of the noisy people left, the bugs came out and we left early.

10 old college friends went and stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding in Jekyll island, this house was very comfortable for us all. We walked to downtown St. Simons for dinner and lunch. Pool was fun. I would recommend. Wish they had more outdoor seating together.

This was a great house that hosted two families.There was just a couple of concerns that we had. The first one we were very excited when we saw the chefs kitchen, however the kitchen needs to be stocked with utensils they were very limited.For a house to accomodate 10 people the utensils were very limited.Ex. not enough silverware and very outdated frying pans. They did not offer enough towels and wash cloths to accomodate 10 of us.We had a issue with the refrigerator not cooling but was fixed after we had been there for 5 days. The bed in the master bedroom needs to replaced.The cleaning needs to be looked at by a manager. The furniture needs to be moved and swept under. Other than that this home was great we wanted to rent it again for Spring Break for 2022 only to call and find out they were increasing the rate an extra $1700.00, had that not been the case it would have been booked.

When you don't have TBS, ESPN, etc., in the cable package you are left to scramble around and try to Roku or stream games. Come on people, pop for at least a cable package with more than local channels...you don't wear bowling shoes with a tuxedo.
