Located in Gilford, this lovely house for $386 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Relax in our newly remodeled three bedroom two bathroom 2680 square foot open concept ranch with all new hard wood flooring in the dining room and living room and new tile in the bathrooms and kitchen. Includes new maple kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops with every thing you need to make your gourmet meals come true. After you finish your meal, relax while sipping your favorite beverage in the summer months, sitting pool side enjoying your favorite music transporting you to your favorite Caribbean island. Lake Winnipesaukee is five minutes from the house and the spectacular views that go with it. Away from noise and heavy traffic but five minutes from the area attractions. What you can you expect when you visit the lakes region, whether it's your first time or you have been coming here your whole life, area attractions include, touring the lake on the M.S. Mount Washington . Choose to take in one of the many events that take place through out the year ie:Antique boat show/Ironman triathlon/Motorcycle week/Pumpkin Festival/Soul Festival/Pond Hockey Classic/ Laconia Sled Dog Derby/Winnipesaukee Fishing Derby/Gilford Old Home Day/Sandwich Fair. Gunstock has skiing/snowboarding and night tubing and in the summer they have a zip line tour, off road segway tours and mountain biking .If you like to hike Mount Major is only 7 miles away and I have seen people from the age of 10 to 70 hiking there and the view of Ossipee Mountain / Mount Washington and Lake Winnipesauke is magnificent. Funspot arcade is the largest one in the world . They also have bowling /bingo/coin slots and indoor golf. Monkey Trunks climbing adventure is right next door and go cart racing is across the street.

We enjoyed the whole experience and location. We were in the pool everyday and played games in the large front yard. At night we had the bon fire with wood provided by the owner. We also enjoyed taking walks in the abutting state forest. The nice surprise was a basement with a full game room with a pool table, air hockey, basketball and ping pong table. My adult children really enjoyed late night of games. We would stay at this property again.

We have stayed in many home rentals over the years. This one was the best, without question. We loved the pool, our kids enjoyed the game room, and everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and we found it to be a great location to venture out to various activities like Weirs Beach, Gunstock, and a few slightly father drives (highly recommend the Lost River Gorge & Caves). We hope this rental will co to use to be available in future years, we’d return in a heartbeat!! Thank you!

We have stayed in many home rentals over the years. This one was the best, without question. We loved the pool, our kids enjoyed the game room, and everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and we found it to be a great location to venture out to various activities like Weirs Beach, Gunstock, and a few slightly father drives (highly recommend the Lost River Gorge & Caves). We hope this rental will co to use to be available in future years, we’d return in a heartbeat!! Thank you!

We had the best time staying at this property. We had family from 18 months to 87 years old. The pool was perfect and there was plenty to do with cornhole, horseshoes and ladderball. We took a great walk on the trails in Weeks Woods and over to the village store for takeout. We enjoyed an evening by the fire outside. The only drawback was that it was Motorcycle Week and the road noise could be heard while outside. Otherwise, it is a very peaceful and private setting. Peter, the owner, came by for the pool early each morning and took care of a blown circuit right away after we notified him about it. He also explained to us why he no longer has the gas fireplace installed. My 18 month old grandson loved the bears that are part of the fireplace mantle. Being a toddler, he also loved all the space he had to walk around. Having everything on one floor was very good for my 87 year old father that came with us. It is clear that Peter has put a great deal of work into this home and it has everything you could need. He was an excellent host and we look forward to coming back again. We would retire here if we could. Thank you, Peter, for a great vacation.

Perfect for all ages

We were looking for a private house that had a pool. This was perfect for what we needed. The house was clean, spacious, and to our surprise it had a semi finished basement with ping pong, pool and air hockey! The biggest win was the outdoor pool which we loved. Esp the kids. Oh and the house was wired for sound, even outside for music while swimming or grilling!! Good times. There were trails directly behind the house for some nice quick hikes. Gunstock is super close. Ellacoya State Park is 10 mins away and the beach is nice.
The host (Peter) is awesome and we could communicate easily.
I wish there was more of a downtown (that we could walk to) with small shops or places to eat, but there were places to shop within 10 mins.
Overall, given where we are with covid, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. THANK YOU!!!

We were looking for a private house that had a pool. This was perfect for what we needed. The pool was an obvious attraction but there were a lot of nice additional features that we enjoyed , eg the bluetoothed multi-zone speaker system. The kitchen was well equipped and lacking nothing that we needed. The beds were very comfy and our 5 year old loved the bunk bed. The location was great— Gilford is quiet compared to some surrounding towns but only 5-10 minutes away from more major shopping and activities. The forest beside the property (the trail head is literally at the end of the driveway) was lovely and we took a couple of nice 1-2 mile walks. The proximity to lakes was nice for us and we took our kayak out to a couple of different locations during the week.The owner, Peter, was great responsive without intrusive. When we arrived, the pool was a little green and he was over the change the sand filter shortly after we passed on the info. Our car battery was dead as we were about the leave and he came over and jumped us from his truck before AAA had even connected us to the regional office.Overall, a great stay and we would definitely consider rebooking this property.

Beautiful Family Vacation Rental
We just came home from a week at this property. The home was everything and more than we could have asked for. It was immaculate and well stocked. From our first steps into this home, we felt as though we were in our own home. Peter, the owner is very responsive to any questions or needs you may have. We are planning to rent again next year. What a beautiful place to escape to. Thank you Peter.

Teens to Retirees get away
This property was more than we expected. There were 8 of us ranging from teens to retirees and we never felt cramped. We had plenty of downtime relaxing (floating) in our own private oasis; private pool and beautiful secluded surroundings. When we wanted to get off our floats, there was plenty of entertainment inside the comfortable AC cooled home. We didn't venture out too much since we were so content staying put, but we did do a little shopping in Meredith, of course our annual mini-golf competition, and Ben and Jerry's ice cream! I'm sure there is lots more to do in the area but can't say much for that; maybe a list of suggestions for local places to go would be nice, bike rentals on a trail, kayak rentals on a waterway, hiking trails (oh, we did do Weeks trail, it starts at the end of the driveway!). Then again, what's wrong with relaxation for a week? Thank you Peter and Claire for sharing your home. It was exactly what we needed and more! :) Definitely recommend to others who are looking to get away for relaxation and/or adventure...

Excellent house and pool
The house was comfortable and spacious enough for the seven of us. The pool is wonderful with plenty of seating for everyone. The quality throughout the house proves evident how much caring Peter put into the house.

The house and setting was beautiful and private. Peter has taken extremely good care of the property, everything seemed new, the inside and outside was very clean. I will definitely rent this house again, Peter is very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Awesome Property and a Great Stay
Stayed with 6 friends over New Years. Perfect spot and very close to Gunstock. Peter and his wife were awesome. They put a lot of work into the house so they like responsible people to be there. But they were extremely accommodating, lived close by, and were available by phone if any issues came up. Would definitely book again.

My family of four spent a week here and absolutely loved it! We spent most of our time by the pool. The home is well appointed and recently updated throughout and it's plenty of space for larger groups than us. The property is very well maintained and the owners take great pride in it and it shows. We will definately make every effort to return next summer!

A Relaxing Retreat
We so enjoyed our stay in this very clean and comfortable home. The owners provided all we needed for our two week stay. They are most accommodating. Our multigenerational family had fun in and around the pool. We loved the natural feel of the plants and flowers. At least five kinds of butterflies visited. This home is located near the places and eateries we like to go to. We have rented lots of places before but this is the first review we felt we needed to make. Positive all around!

Everything you need for a family vacation
Very clean updated home equipped with all you will need to enjoy your stay. You can certainly enjoy the Lake and Weirs Beach only moments away, but we found the pool to be a tremendous feature anytime of the day or night. Pete is meticulous with his property and there is a high level of expectation that responsible families need only apply. If you are up early enough ( 6:00 AM ) you might see Pete checking in on pool levels and maintenance. We did have an ongoing issue with internet service ( TV was fine ) that can be a real issue when you have your own business and or 11 year old twins. Pete was always a call away and was very responsive to our needs. Our family has been staying in the area ( usually right on the lake ) for several years now. We might have found our best overall experience with this wonderful get away.

No AC so the first few days were really warm. The pool needs to be heated.
Nice house and great camp style feel to it. Owner takes great care of the property and was very clean. Had some games a pretty good amenities. House was very warm though with no AC. Also couldn't use the pool very much because the water temperature was too cold.

Beautiful relaxing place!
I stayed at this beautifully remodeled home in June with my family, 5 adults and our 2 babies. We all really enjoyed the pool and outdoor area with nice warm weather. The only reason I rated the home a 4 and not a 5 was there was a couple warmer nights, which is not common in New England, and there were no ceiling fans or fans to plug in. It made for a bit of a hot night with no breeze to cool down. I would suggest bringing or requesting fans to plug in if your stay is there during the summer months. Otherwise we really enjoyed the clean spacious home! Would recommend it to friends in the future.
