Located in Grazalema, this attractive condo for $91 per night is a great choice for your next trip. 'El Artista' is beautiful apartment situated above the Neilson Art Gallery in the picturesque village of Grazalema in the Sierra de Grazalema. This 3 bedroom apartment sleeps up to 4 people. The apartment has its own independent entrance from the quieter rear street. On the first floor there are two single bedrooms, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with under floor electric heating and wood burning stove, television with DVD player, and a bathroom. The top floor is accessed by an open plan staircase,( not suitable for young children) and here you will find the third bedroom with a double bed and second bathroom, which also leads onto the roof terrace with magnificent views over the roof tops to the mountains beyond. The apartment comes fully equipped with bedding and towels. There is free WiFi internet access and an electric piano.

Stayed in this lovely apartment to do some day hiking in Grazalema Park. The apartment is lovely and well equipped. Communication was good. We came in January, so the apartment is somewhat cold (us Canadians are used to cold outside, but not inside). There are a variety of heating options. They do take a little while to warm the place up, but it was doable (again, like Europeans are used to this). Sue taught us ‘everything you need to know’ about a pellet stove and all worked fine. Shower was great. Surrounding hiking also great. Town itself is lovely and generally quiet.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in Grazalema / wonderful staying in Grazalema
Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche Urlaub in Grazalema. Das Appartment war toll eingerichtet, alles was man benötigte, war vorhanden, darüber hinaus gab es jede Menge Informationsmaterial über Ort und Umgebung. Die Schlüsselübergabe am Treffpunkt klappte super ( das Objekt ist beim ersten Mal nicht einfach zu finden, wenn man das erste Mal in Grazalema ist).
Die Kommunikation (auf Englisch )mit dem Vermieter klappte vom Tag der Buchung an reibungslos.
Sollten wir wieder nach Grazalema fahren, werden wir wieder hier buchen - sehr empfehlenswert.

We have had a wonderful week of vacasion in Grazalema. The appartment was very well equipped, you can find all that you need, and additional there are a lot of information material about Grazalema and the surrounding. The appointment to get the key went easy ( the object is not easy to find if you are the first time in Grazalema).
The communication ( in English ) with the landlord has run smoothly from the beginning after booking. If we return to Grazalema once again, we will rent here again - highly recommended.

We werden enthousiast ontvangen. Gezellig appartement met veel kunst in een rustige omgeving met alle basisvoorzieningen. Fijne kachels die veel warmte gaven. Koffiezetapparaat alla Andalusie, langszaam...Mooi uitzicht vanaf het dakterras. Wij hadden daar van de ochtend tot 17:00 uur zon. Sfeervolle en grote slaapkamer. Eigenaar reageert snel op mailtjes en vragen. Grazalema leuk dorp in een mooie, groene omgeving. Je hebt daardoor wel meer kans op regen!

Accommodation had everything we needed. Really nice, loads of room, very clean and modern. Couldn't fault it. Easy couple of minutes walk to shops and restaurants. We've already booked to come again.

A wonderful base from which to explore this area of outstanding beauty.
Our family of four stayed at "El Artista" for a week in mid July 2018. The apartment is very comfortable, very stylishly furnished and with a terrace that has a view across the village rooftops and the Sierra beyond - quite breathtaking.
On a purely practical note, the kitchen is very well-equipped and the WiFi very reliable (better than at home !)
Jack, the owner, gave us very helpful advice on places to visit.
We very much hope to return at some point in the future.

This is a great apartment with lots of charm. Jack was a wonderful host and very helpful. The apartment is very clean comfortable and well appointed. Grazalema is charming and not too touristy. Caution , Grazalema it is not easy to find and don't try to arrive after dark like we accidently did. Distance take much longer than expected bc of mountain roads. We highly recommend this apartment.

Fabulous roof terrace with great views of the mountains and the rooftops of Grazalema. A very tranquil place yet only a few minutes walk from the bustling square, which is the best place to stop for a drink and people watching.
Another highlight of our stay was the magnificent municipal pool nestling in the mountains at Gastrobar "La Maroma" further up the hill from the main square in Grazalema. 2 euros entry fee to swim and lounge around for as long as you wish!
We were fortunate to bump into Jack, the owner, during our stay - a very friendly, helpful host indeed.
I would highly recommend this amazing apartment to anyone wanting to experience and explore Andalusia - and i hope to return some time in the not too distant future!

Great Apartment in Grazalema
El Artista was the perfect place for my daughter and I to stay as we explored the white-walled villages of Zahara, Ronda and Ubriche. It was just a couple of blocks from the main plaza, so entirely walkable (as is the whole town). The apartment was spacious and pleasant, and we actually spent far more time there than we probably should have! The upstairs master bed was super comfy. The kitchen had everything that we needed, bathrooms were clean and spacious, and I was even greeted with a tiny bottle of champagne in the fridge! Jack, the apartment owner, was very relaxed and easy to work with. While it got hot outside in the middle of the day, even with no air conditioning, the apartment was plenty cool if you opened up windows in the morning and closed them during the day. It actually was a little chilly at night in Grazalema! A glass of wine, some chorizo and local varieties of cheese on the rooftop patio in the evening overlooking the valley were a true highlight of our stay. Thanks, Jack!

A beautifully designed, light and modern apartment
We arrived in the white pueblo of Grazalema by bus, and were met and walked to the apartment in the centre of the Village by our host, Jack. We considered ourselves very fortunate in finding such a perfect place to stay. The apartment was light and spacious, with comfortable seating, a fully equipped kitchen, and, most important, a comfortable bed. The view from the terrace over the rooftops and beyond, into the mountains, was delightful, and the sounds of the swifts, and the church bells were memorable. Jack advised us on various aspects of the village, and was available to help if we had needed it.
Grazalema is in a beautiful natural park, and the variety of walks from the village is almost endless. Our best day was walking with Sue, an ornithologist and botanist identifying the wildlife in the area. We hope to stay in El Artista again.

A great place to spend holidays
We had a wonderful time in the apartment El Artista.
The place is very comfortable, well equipped, nicely designed and felt like home as soon as we entered there.
The apartment is ideally located: very private and quiet and still in a minute walk from the village center and at easy reach to the gorgeous mountain walks. We stayed for 6 days, but we could have stayed much longer: there are so many walks to do, restaurants to try, white villages to explore and just to relax in a cozy apartment/house with a view to the village and the mountains.
We highly recommend El Artista to any traveler and at any season. We would return without hesitation.

The Most Relaxing Place We Have Ever Found
My partner and I wanted a place to chill out and relax following a strenuous ,(and very hot), week of cycling in Andaluzia. El Artista was more than perfect in this regard. It is clean, roomy, airy and well appointed with a great view from the balcony. Jack, the owner was very helpful in giving us clear directions, a warm welcome and good advice regarding local facilities and attractions. Grazalema is a lovely town with great restaurants, a very good municipal swimming pool and easy access to good walking/cycling. We have recommended this appartment to friends and will definitely return there ourselves.

Beautiful village with wonderful views
My wife and I spent two weeks in Grazalema and it was the most charming village with stunning scenery. The property was tastefully decorated and cleaned to a very high standard. It is set on a very steep hill, so not recommended to the elderly, but this is the only slight drawback. The owner, Jack, could not have been more helpful and invited us to an exhibition at his gallery and also took us to see one of his other properties.
There are many lovely resturants in the village, but if you travel up the hill you will find a small Tapas bar and the food is excellent and a very cheap.
The views on the small terrace are amazing and it is worth investing in good binoculars, as you are able to watch the vultures over the mountains.
The visit to Rhonda and other local cities are lovely, but the charm of Grazalema and the other White Villages are more relaxing.
We plan to return in the future and would recommend this property highly.

Excellent apartment
This is an attractive, comfortable, well maintained and well equipped apartment with wonderful views. Highly recommended. We like it so much we have stayed there five times and are going again.
Grazalema is a picturesque village perched high in the mountains with good local restaurants and bars and village shops in walking distance of the flat. There are good places for bird watching and excellent walks. Ronda is within easy reach. We feel you need a car to get the most from this area – e.g. exploring various local villages and towns, high level passes and historical sites.
Jack is always helpful.

Nice experience in Grazalema
We enjoyed our stay in Grazalema very much. The apartment has everything you need - the location is good, the views are wonderful and the service was perfect. The only negative point for us was the lack of air-conditioning (we knew that in advance though) - we were there in August, and especially the top floor where the main bedroom is located can become quite hot. The village is very nice, with several restaurants and supermarkets, and a good starting point for all kind of excursions, either to the mountains or to places like Ronda, Ubrique, etc.
We do certainly recommend the apartment and Grazalema.

A Grazalema Gem
We found the apartment to be as described and more. It was clean, had everything you need and was aesthetically pleasing.
Jack was helpful in arranging our stay and information about the town. The situation is in the heart of Grazalema, close to shops, bars etc. We had some good meals in a friendly local resaurant ( El Torreone) and enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sun. You could see the sun rise in the morning from the bed.
We enjoy walking and birdwatching and this is an excellent base with beautiful scenery and a variety of walks and birds.
We did not have a car for 2 weeks which suited us but may not be for everyone as the public transport is limited. There are 2 buses a day from Malaga, via Ronda, which go on to the nearby village of Benacoan. This means you can do a 12 km walk to this village and get the afternoon bus back.
There is now a full Tourist Information Office opened this year and Clive and Sue, who run it, are helpful and friendly.
