Ein Ort zum Bleiben, der in Erinnerung bleibt!

Es ist eine so schöne, liebevoll gemachte Unterkunft mit natürlichem Material wie Holz, Bambus und Palmenblätter. Die Lage ist top, Che super nett. Es ist ein Platz, um länger zu bleiben, auch durch die Küche.

Exotic cabin by the lake

We stayed in the 2 stories custom building cabin by the host. Great craftsmanship. The cabin was right next to the shore overlooking the lake. The host was great to have conversations with

10/10 Recommend We loved it

The best property I have stayed at in my 3 months of backpacking. Having a private kitchen and fridge/freezer was a luxury. The lay out of the cabin made it feel very spacious and right on the water. Che the owner is such a great guy and even let my group of friends and I cook out on his grill for a christmas feast. Thank you Che!!

Great cabin in nature right next to waters edge

Super comfy and has everything you need including great kitchen! 2 min walk from beach. Che was super helpful with recommendations.

Very exposed to nature but does have mosquito net over the bed so not a problem for us.

Wonderful lake front cabin with lovely hosts

El bamboo is in a fantastic location on the shore of the lake in the lovely village of balgüe. The treehouse had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen and a fan to keep us cool. The garden surrounding the cabin was beautiful too. Che and Indira were great hosts, always around if you had a problem or needed a local recommendation! Make sure you head down to the lake shore for lovely sunsets behind the volcano Also comedor Isabel down the street had great food!

Superb assistance and engagement with the passionate maker and owner of El Bamboo. Meeting someone that really cares about their work and their property is always a joy. Two minute walk to beach with amazing volcano view, especially at sunset

Everything was great- just be aware of transport limitations and get creative with how you get around and you will love it!

We loved staying at El Bamboo with Che! I highly recommend staying this magical spot!

The location is incredible - a hand constructed bamboo cabin on the lake in a verdant jungle on a magical island. This was by far my favorite place we traveled in Nicaragua. Che was welcoming, kind, helpful, responsive and so positive. Loved our stay!

The bugs, but that wasn't at all a result of the cabin or accommodations - it's part of navigating Central America. Bring bug spray.

Loved our stay at El Bamboo! The apartment is super unique. It’s equipped with everything you need, including a kitchen. Che is super friendly and helpful, he can assist with anything you need.

Would 100% recommend

- beautifully built large self contained bamboo cabana - great personal kitchen - hot water - clean - wonderfully cool compared to other non a/c accom on the island as it is close to the lake and designed to utilise the wind - shared hammock area to chill - good view of sunset - lovely and helpful host - close to local restaurants and shops

- everything was perfect for us as we are modest budget travellers.

Needs places outside where you can sit & relax and enjoy the scenery and the property itself. So beautiful but no seats anywhere outside & the beach is too rocky to lay a towel down

Amazing cabin set on edge of beautiful lake - an absolute must!

We loved everything about El Bamboo cabins.. Che was a lovely & friendly host and made us feel really welcome. He is so passionate about Ometepe and its beautiful nature. His enthusiasm is contagious. The cabin was amazing. We only stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed forever. It is right on the lake and is so tranquil, you really feel like you are living amongst nature but with a comfortable place to sleep and relax. It truly is a little piece of paradise. Thank you Che for making our stay one of the most memorable in a 7 month trip

A true treetop experience

Fantastic location. Che is a really nice guy and has designed the cabins beautifully. Good storage and lots of hooks to hang things. Excellent Wi-Fi and hot water shower was a real plus.

The crockery was a bit dirty but I put this down to the previous guests putting it away like that.

The location was great, Che the host was very accommodating and very helpful, showing where to pick herbs and fruit from his garden. The hut itself is amazing, incredibly built right at the edge of the lake with an amazing view. Highly recommended.

Che, what an incredibly nice person. He is really helpful, enthusiastic and warm. You can tell this is his passion. He helped us with arranging scooters, busses en taxis all over Nicaragua. Great stay!

che is a great host . if you don’t have a back pack I don’t recommend this place however . I broke my bag on the dirt road down . but the accomodation is amazing . perfect for a long term stay
