Incredible experience with a local family in the nature ❤️

If you want to really live a local experience, go there, Efraim and his family are wonderful. It is a little bit remote (15-20 min walk from the main road), but the walk is really flat and nice because you can see that you are really living with the locals. The price for the room are really good for what you have. They were really welcoming and they treated us like family members. They offer all the informations about the activities to do in Ometepe. You can do the conception and the maderas hikes with them and they are cheaper than everybody. We rent scooter and they did everything. We asked them for the scooter at 9:00 p.m. and the next morning, the scooter was deliver at 7:00 a.m. straight in the parking spot of the hostel. We loved the location in the nature (you really are in a banana plantation) and also the nice hosts. We stayed there 5 nights and it was really good. The food is very tasty (made directly by Efraim's wife), everything tastes fresh. Would recommend 100% if you like to live among the locals. Also, they clean the room everyday.

Lovely place in banana fields

We really enjoyed the calmness and nature surrounding the place! The host was kind and helpful, he organized a scooter for us. Also it’s quite close to the beach where you enjoy a nice sunrise :)

It’s a 25 minute walk from the town but therefore you’re in the middle of nature. For solo travelers: we were the only travelers staying there for 3 nights (which we actually really enjoyed haha) but maybe is not everyone’s cup of tea.

The friendly staff and spacey room! And the kindness for the owner to share their grown food with customers! ;) the owner very helpful!! Sorted us motorbikes was very helpful,

The bugs and flies but understandably being on a farm you have to expect them right? 😊

Really nice family hostel the place is simple but very comfortable, in the middle of a banana plantation. Efraim the oner is very generous and a really good host. Very nice experience.

Had an amazing time here with my friends for 2 nights. 10mins walk to a lovely beach, nice and affordable food available, and great host who is very helpful organising anything you'd like to do while in Omotepe.

The road is quite rough from Altagracia, but taxi drivers were still happy to drive down there.

Rustic experience and great hosts

Lovely experience in the village. The sunsets were special and the food was great. The host is very friendly and helpful.

quiet location amongst the locals, Ibrahim and his family were kind and accommodating. Had my best sleep in Nica here, food was delicious and large portions. totally recommend.

Absolutely amazing! The most lovely host family who were so friendly and help us with every we needed includong tours, transportation and rental of ATV. The best food is cooked on the spot, and the most amazing sunrise and sunset view of the volcano and banana plantation can be seen from the roof. Room comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

Very good

Stunning location in a banana farm with lovely views. They had an area up a ladder with hammocks to watch sunset and it was so peaceful. The area is in a very local place, which was great and around a 20 minute walk to the town. You will definitely need your own transport though to get to and from here. It's around a 45 minute drive from the main port. The owners are really friendly and on hand to help with suggestions of things to do.

We were offered breakfast for 7 in the morning and we thought this would be great as we wanted to leave early. We waited for 40 minutes and no one was around so we had to leave to find breakfast elsewhere which made us late for our plans. Also there was no water one morning, this seemed to be the case for another guest too who also couldn't find the owners either.

An amazing place to chill out, peaceful and quiet. Walking distance to the town. Wonderful hosts. Delicious food. Everything can be arranged (tours, bikes, etc). Not many people around, which for us is a plus.

Really nice and very big room and bathroom. Good equipped kitchen and terrace for chilling and watching the sunset. The staff was very nice and helpful. We rented a motorcycle from the hostel. Really easy and nice service. And free bananas!

We knew that the location is a bit further from the city. It’s good 20min walk.

Very charismatic and friendly host. He took us to the top of Concepcion and was very helpful and great company throughout the weekend. Amazing food cooked at the hostel too. Very much feel like you’re in nature here, which is just what we wanted. Incredible value. Perfect!

The Location to the Hostal Is Really Bad, since they are fixing some roads. The Owner suggested “To Cancell the Reservation”. Once we were close to the place! Which for me wasnt a Good way of making feel comfortable or making business.

price quality was good and the owners will make your stay definitely worth it.

We appreciated how kind and helpful the owners of Hospedajes Bananas are. They are willing to arrange transportation (rental scooters, ATVs, etc.) and many activities for you, including volcano tours or kayaking for example. Moreover, the place offers free and fresh bananas every day and there is the option to order food for a reasonable price. You should absolutely try their jalapeño chicken!

There is not much to complain about, also considering the price. The location is a little remote, but for us, this wasn't a problem as we rented a scooter and kind of liked the area where you could see the “real”, untouched Ometepe. One minor issue was the low water pressure (the toilet and shower had little water), which was slightly annoying at some points, but no major issues!

This is a special place. very simple and tasteful rooms. Absolutely loved staying here. It's removed which I like, the hosts are fantastic. The price is great. So happy with our decision to book this place.

It was amazing stay in beautiful and quite place. Good vibes and ambulance. Absolutly loved the hommack in front of bananas field. Room was very comfortable. Staff super friendly. Value for money great. We had the best rest in hospedaje bananas and wish we stay there longer. Absolutely recomend it and hope we will come back there one day :)
