The place itself is lovely and clean - it is in the "Central City" neighborhood near the intersection of Simon Bolivar Ave and Philip Street. We did get woken up by the sound of gunshots one night. Half of our Uber/Lift drivers warned us not to walk around at night. The manager does a good job of cleaning the place, everything was cozy, and the shampoos and soaps were nice. The washer and drier worked well! The place actually looks better than in the photos.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Melvin was very welcoming and the house was very nice. Loved that it has the original fireplaces still intact in the home. Very quiet neighborhood in the beds had you sleeping like a baby.

Wonderful neighborhood and a 5 minute walk to St.Charles Streetcar . The neighbors were very nice and it was really neat to stay in an actual neighborhood . Owner contacted me and gave me all the information . Nothing fancy , but a real NO treat . Would highly recommend .

Nice quaint place. Short walk to the trolley and only 10 minutes from everything. An abundant amount of restaurants shopping. The host is absolutely charming We definitely will stay again Must visit Café Porche for brunch.

Melvin was a great host, very friendly and easy to communicate with! The property was amazing, it is just like the pictures listed, the neighborhood was a nice quiet area. The only thing is the road is very narrow on the street, not the homeowners fault, just be mindful when traveling to this location. It’s a great, central location to everything, we spent most of our time at Bourbon Street and in the heart of the city, which was all only a 10 minute drive! I would love to stay here again!

When we first arrived, we thought it was a bad neighborhood, due to the construction on the roads. But it turned out to be a nice neighborhood, nice neighbors, and mr. Melvin was right next door if we needed anything.

This place was great and near downtown! It’s an 8 min walk to the RTA bus and St. Charles street car which will take you into the city. The house it’s self was nice and quaint. The cleanliness was ok. The owner was nice and very helpful. He even was flexible about the check in time which was great! Overall a decent place and I would recommend it!

Mr. Mitchell's property is one side of a wonderfully restored double shotgun house; he is a very helpful and accommodating host, helping guide us to the property amidst construction blockades in the area. Easy walking distance to the St. Charles Streetcar--would stay here again!

I was a little leery about the neighborhood, but almost every house is a vacation rental. The neighbors were very quiet. We enjoyed meeting a few of them. The rental was missing the hairdryer, but I had brought my own so I did not contact the owner. The kitchen was lacking a few essentials. A sharp knife, pizza cutter, and large coffee mugs instead of the tiny ones provided would have been nice, along with a regular coffee pot. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I would book this rental again.

We wanted a reasonably priced place that would allow us easy access to downtown New Orleans (the French Quarter). There were three different buses and the trolley car within 2-5 blocks so it was perfect. The host was very accessible to us to answer questions.
