Not our cup of tea.

To start our flight was late and Simona reached out to us via WhatsApp to make sure we had all of the information and made sure we found the place okay. She was very nice and we even met her brother our second day there and he was very sweet as well. Simona told us we got an upgrade on our room, we now had a beach view. The view was incredible and spectacular and the villa was isolated from the other rooms which was nice and private.

We didn’t realize this was a villa where we would need some cleaning supples and food items and more. The cleaning standards were low as the table in the kitchen was full of crumbs and the blankets provided had a bad smell. The bathroom had a sewage/smoke smell that mixed with the humid air in the villa. We asked about the AC (AirCon) and were advised that because it was nice weather it would not work, we had to sleep with the windows open allowing for small bugs and mosquitos to get in, this meant hot and itchy days. On Thursday the 24th we were sleeping in. My wife began watching some videos and then heard a noise outside of our window. She saw a hand slipping through the outside shutters and lifting the latch. She loudly yelled HELLO, startling whoever it was and they quickly stopped and ran away. Upon closer look the gate to our area which is private and closed off from the other villas was wide open. We messaged Simona on WhatsApp and our messages went ignored. We were now very uncomfortable keeping the windows open so even hotter nights awaited. We decided to leave early with the last ferry out on Monday and cut our losses. All in all the views were beautiful but it was an uncomfortable, hot and worrisome week for us. It left us little to enjoy if we are being honest. We only received a message from Simona on the day we were set to checkout at which point we were on route to our next hotel where she advised us to submit a 10 on the ratings or nothing at all as it’s the end of the season. We contemplated making a review but in all honesty we just did not have a great experience. Views aside the villa itself was dated, dirty and not safe in the slightest. (Also mentioning there was a thunderstorm storm for 2-3 days out of our stay which made it cooler on those hots nights luckily.)
