Wow, where do we begin! From the moment we arrived at James Clow Boutique we were met with the most warm welcome from Desi and Cristina. The accommodation is located within an apartment block with the hosts occupying the 13th and 14th floor and also live there, the 14th floor is where we stayed in the deluxe double room. For those staying in the king room this is located on the 13th floor with a few internal steps leading up to the 14th floor where the roof terrace is accessible via the communal kitchen. Our room was absolutely stunning and everything had been so carefully thought out and felt very homely. Our room on the 14th floor had direct access onto the shared roof terrace with the hot tub which was an added bonus, the views were incredible! Our room was also next to the communal kitchen where the following morning Cristina cooked up the most amazing continental breakfast, her homemade focaccia and tortilla was delicious and the smell that filled the room was enough to make your mouth water (please send me your recipes 😋).
Our room had everything you could need, hairdryer, straighteners, curlers, ironing board, umbrella, binoculars, eye masks, snuggle blankets, toiletries, tea, coffee, sugar, fresh and long life milk in the room fridge, even complimentary biscuits and croissants which were warmly received after a long day exploring and travelling. They also had the most fluffiest dressing gowns ever, and slippers (I’ve taken a picture of the brand of dressing gown so I can get my own 🤣). The bed and pillows were lovely and soft and I actually managed to get a good nights sleep (something I usually struggle with when I stay away). The small touches like the welcome booklet with recommendations, rubber duckies in the bathroom and the teddies on the bed which matched the coffee cups made us smile and it felt like we were at home. What Desi and Cristina offer is so much more than your big hotel chains, it was like staying with friends, what they have is special
Nothing, we just wish we could have stayed for longer so we could enjoy the views, eat more amazing focaccia and enjoy your company. Outside of the accommodation didn’t look great with scaffold outside but looks are very deceiving and please don’t let this put you off. If you’re staying in the deluxe double room then guests of the other room may use the hot tub next to your room but this is only normally in hourly reservations and the last hot tub access is from 21:00. We had no issues with this and actually didn’t even see the other guests until the following morning at breakfast. The location of the accommodation for us was perfect, around a 25 minute walk along the river to the titanic museum (probably quicker if you don’t stop every 5 minutes to take pictures like me 🤣), and a short stroll to town, you’re also on the right side of town for the Giants Causeway trips. A big thank you to Desi for booking us in at Millers restaurant for our anniversary when we arrived, (definitely recommend the Thai mussels)!

Spacious rooms (we rented both), the comfortable beds, the very, VERY good breakfast, the friendly owners who were really helpful with everything we needed, and the view from the 13th floor is wonderful
