About this apartment rental
The apartment, (70 square meter) is situated in the historical centre of Florence directly at the 'Piazza San Marco', one of the most beautiful historical public squares of the city. It is located at the 5th floor (without elevator) of an historical palace (XVIII century). The apartment, which has air condition is totally silent, from the balcony as well as from all windows you will enjoy a wonderful view over Florence and its monuments. From the kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven and gas-cooker) you step on a nice roomy balcony where you can take breakfast while enjoying the wonderful view over San Marco Cathedral and the hills of Fiesole. The apartment has furthermore a large living/dining room with TV, two separate bedrooms (one with a comfortable double bed and a special view on the Dome of Florence) and a modern bathroom with shower. All main museums and monuments of Florence can be visited within walking distance.
How to reach us: By car: Highway 1 Bologna - Firenze, Exit Firenze Nord, direction 'centro', direction 'Piazza San Marco'. Parking 'Parterre' nearby at Piazza della Libertà.
By train: Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella) - 2 min with taxi or all buses with direction 'San Marco'.
By airplane: Take a taxi (15 -20 min) or take a bus (Narvetta, the tickets you get on the bus) until Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella), than take a bus with direction 'San Marco'.

This district Cosimo il Vecchio has left its mark. Within the walls of this area once the menagerie of the Medici family was staying. Today it is the student quarter, and during the semester, the Piazza San Marco is always populated by young people who are waiting for the start of their lectures and art classes. The Accademia di Belli Arti founded in 1563 is the oldest art academy in the world, dating back to Michelangelo.
The adjacent neighborhood to the San Lorenzo church is surrounded by a square, and a colorful market life reminds us that Florence was the city of merchants. Many of the offered products are real bargains, especially if you act like the locals with the sellers ...

As all the other guests have commented - fabulous location pretty much central to everything in Florence.Communication with the host was 10 out of 10, especially as my son's and mine trains were delayed and arrival at the apartment was in a constant state of flux. The host rolled with the changes and check-in was a breeze.

Fabulous apartment. Great location, walking distance to all the important sights. Spacious rooms and great layout. The balcony was terrific with a wonderful view of Florence and the surrounding hills. Lots of windows throughout the apartment, some with views of the Duomo. Our host Tiberio was so communicative and helpful, resulting in a super smooth arrival and entrance into the apartment. Only caution is that it’s a 4th floor (American 5th) walk up, which was no problem for us but may be for those in not so good shape.

1)This apartment is on the sixth floor (97 stair steps) make sure you’re in good enough shape2)Doorways for bathroom and kitchen are SHORT about 5’ 9” – tall person needs to duck3)The bathroom floor and shower could use a more detailed cleaning4)Kitchen is TINY but functional5)We had to take our trash away to a nearby city dumpster – seemed “odd” for us Americans 6)The host was super awesome to communicate with via WhatsApp – both proactive and responsive7)The "T2 Tram" from airport to literally front door is super convenient and cheap just 1.75 each8)The best part: The little roof top patio was fabulous!9)The 2nd best: easy walking distance to every possible tourist destination in Florence!

The breakfast balcony looked over the rooftops of Florence. The bedroom window looked to Il Duomo. The apartment is around the corner from the Accademia, and a 15 minute walk to the Uffizi. It was all quite delightful!Communications with the host were excellent.Be aware that there are 97 steps to the apartment. But it's worth it!
