We liked the neighbourhood of Hochelega-Maisonneuve. 10 minute walk to Joliette or Prefontaine metro stations. Ontario Street has most of the shops you'll need for a short stay. The apartment has everything you'll need for a weekend stay and it's perfect for a couple or solo traveller. The building and the neighbourhood is quiet, safe and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Host-Me was responsive using the Booking.com messaging or listed email.
It was challenging to get the front lobby entrance code from Host-Me and after arriving from a long bus ride, we were tired and just wanted to get in the apartment. You will need a code for the building entrance and then the apt unit door. I had to call the Montreal number and thankfully the person walked me through entering the code. After that everything was fine. You will be asked to provide a security deposit and photo ID prior to receiving the building and unit door codes.

Good neighbourhood, well furnished house comfortable bed fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with a first aid kit
some of the things like chairs are old and already broken but they leave them there so that they can retain your security deposit.
the staff are also really rude and not helpful and are never around when you need help with something.
